I have never done any sort of seasonal decoration apart from Christmas - even before kids! I didn't even know people did. I love the idea of it though, autumn is my favourite season!

I have a few things up and DH definitely makes fun of me. I think I am fighting back against the lack of actual fall weather moving to Texas after the lovely fall in New England. plus it's our first house so makes it fun to decorate for any reason. I did promise to leave the pumpkins off the porch until October

I put pumpkins on the porch for Halloween, and have a Christmas tree, stockings, and lights. That's as far as my seasonal decorating goes!

I picked all of my Mom's pumpkins and gourds on Saturday, they are lining my driveway! I never start this early, but they moved out on Saturday and the new owner is being really mean so we took everything we could.
I use to always make a wreath out if fall colored leaves, it's very time consuming but so pretty, I don't have enough time anymore.

I usually start around Oct. 1st, but feeling more festive this year. I'll probably pull out our bins this week and slowly start end of the month. I've already started using Fall and Halloween kitchen towels, but I'm not ready for any Fall scented candles or soap just quite yet.

Pulled out our halloween/fall kitchen towels last weekend.
But no decor til probably later in the month. We're going on a beach vacation and I am not ready for fall scented/flavor/etc. Even though the cooler temps do have me excited!

I got mine done on the 5th. I only have a few candles and such, some cheap dollar store pumpkins I mod podged with glitter, and three vases I filled with tiered levels of kidney beans, black beans and red lentils and put tea lights in that I saw on pinterest. It turned out really beautiful! I will fill a few bowls with apples soon, but I have tons of peaches right now that we need to eat first!

I usually don't decorate for Fall, but this year I found some wreaths I like. Today I picked them up on sale
. I'll put them up tonight just to make sure I still like them. Here's a stock hoto, in the store they looked way better.

I refuse to acknowledge the change in seasons just yet....we're still hearing crickets at night, so I am not rushing it!

I will buy a pumpkin next month. And light some fall candles.
