I sort of fell on my belly while reaching into my car when I got home from work. My feet slipped and landed with my stomach on the driver's seat.
I know that the baby is well protected by the amniotic sac, but I have been feeling a little crampy since it happened. I can feel baby moving, still.
I'm 26 weeks. If you were me, would you go get checked out?

I would, if only for my peace of mind.

At the very least I would call my OB after hours. They are usually very cautious, so I would probably end up being told to get checked out at the ER.

Never hurts to go and get checked. Just to be sure!

I was hoping you guys would say no, lol! My mom said she wouldn't worry. I feel like I'll be super nervous if I don't do something, but I have to work early tomorrow

I'd call - I fell at 37 weeks and they had me come in. They did a blood test and an ultrasound to make sure nothing ruptured and though it felt like overkill it made me feel a thousand times better to know everything was ok. Good luck!

@macintosh: Id call but I got in a car accident around that time last time and the dr office said as long as I could still feel baby moving and had no red discharge it was fine.

I would call the after hours number mostly to see if there were signs I should watch for.
I fell down the stairs a few weeks ago and it scared me, mostly!! But everything was fine

i went in after a pretty bad fall on the side of my stomach when i was like 37 weeks? i was sure i was fine but i think mr. bee told me to go in. for sure give your doctor a call and check on baby's movements!

I wouldn't worry about it if you're still feeling baby.

@macintosh: I think if you landed on a cushioned seat, and it doesn't sound like there was a lot of force, you are fine. Especially when baby is moving. You can call the on-call ob to ask for things to look for, but I wouldn't go to the ER, and I'd be shocked if they directed you to do so.

I fell on my belly at 36 weeks. It happened on a Saturday morning, so I didn't do anything about it because the baby was still moving. I worried about it all day and finally called my OB's after hours line that evening, and they had me go to the hospital to be checked. The nurses and doctors all scolded me for not calling immediately. I ended up being monitored for 24 hours. Everything was fine, and you likely are too, but I would definitely call!

I personally wouldn't, but I am not much of a worrier.
If you feel uneasy, then you should at least call.

I vote call. I fell flat on my stomach hard, on gravel at a photo shoot 24 weeks along. I went to L&D per my OB to be monitored and was there for 4 hours, everything was just fine. It was my understanding that baby is better protected at that point.

I would call. I fell with LO's pregnancy. This pregnancy, I feel twice within a span of a week. Before Christmas, I went to my doctor's office for a piece of mind. They did a doppler check on LO while looking at my face. I had some bruising on my nose from one of the falls. Since then, I don't go on step stools or carry LO.

I would. A good friend did a similar thing a few days ago and she ended up being admitted overnight. Luckily everything was fine, but I'm sure she felt much better having it checked out.

I fell several times during my pregnancy and every time, they had me come in. Be warned, if you go in to be monitored, they will keep you for at least 3-4 hours. I'd call, better to be on the overly cautious side!

I want to thank you all for your advice. Contrary to what many of you suggested, I didn't call or go in. I was more exhausted and in need of rest than I was worried.
I realized that the "cramping" was probably just due to the giant portion of spaghetti that I ate for dinner
My mom reassured me and later in the night baby was kicking so hard I could see my belly move. It was like he was saying "I'm ok Mom, I'm still good in here!"

Glad to hear all is well! (I probably would have done the same.)

@macintosh: this happened to me. I was 24 weeks, and I fell down a hill while walking and landed on my belly. I was on vacation at the time, but I called the on-call midwife at home. She said to lie down, and time movements for an hour. If I felt anything was wrong after that, to go get checked out.
Just saw you updated- so glad everything is okay!
