our girls' names aren't on the list at all, YAY. their names are Hazel and Mayer [MY-er!].

Ahhh 5th! Except in our area it's not really common, I know no one with the name. My name even made that list, with a different spelling at #15...crazy.

My son's isn't on there (not surprised!!). I checked ssa.gov and the alternate spelling of his name is 500th, but his name the way we spell it isn't even in the top 100 names.
Our top two girl names (for the future) aren't on the list either, and are just barely in the top 500 on ssa.gov.

My LOs name isn't on the list, but there are several that are close to her name. Her name is Annalie!

I wonder how accurate this list is. According to SSA, DS's name is top 25 but according to babycenter, it's top 5. Even though his name is popular, we don't know anyone with his name.

DD's name is number 100 - just barely made it on the list!
@Sweet T: Since they say it's based on parents that report names to them, I don't really trust it. IMO the social security name list is the only reliable record of use of names in a year, and that one doesn't come out until May of the following year usually.

Not on the list. Ssa.gov says its never been in the top 1,000 in the past 12 years. Babycenter says its #17,536. But I knew it's an extremely uncommon name.

@mamabolt: @Sweet T: I don't think it's as accurate, but also they say they combine like names-- so Kaitlin, including all spellings, would be much higher than Caitlyn, Caitlin, Kaitlyn, etc, individually, if that makes sense. Though they do have both Jack and Jackson.
It's funny, I personally know babies with like, 15 out of the top 20 names for both boys and girls. Our top boy and girl names are pretty far down the list, which I'm glad about-- 80th for boy, 93 for girl.

It's not on there, and I didn't expect it to be. I don't think I've seen it on a list under #400 or so. And yet, it isn't weird.
