I hoped one of my kids would get my green/amber colored eyes, but they all 3 have dark brown.

I did hope they would get my olive skin, and it looks like all 3 of them (especially my oldest) got it.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I hoped for the same thing (green/hazel). Three for three with blue eyes.

I'm hopeful that my youngest will keep her dark hair but not optimistic. My older two had dark hair at birth that lightened to dark blonde by a year.

Honestly I'd like them to have DHs gentle nature and my smarts.

I hoped my LO would get my husband's more olive skin which tans (versus my super translucent pale since that burns in 10 minutes in the sun) and I hoped she would get his black hair.

LO has my skin tone (although she seems to tan - but don't all kids tan???) and was born with a full head of black hair but it has lightened up to a light brown/dark blonde.

I really couldn't picture what DD would look like at all since I've never seen pictures of her donor parents as babies or children. And she covered her face during ultrasounds.

Everyone hoped for red hair. I really wanted her to have blue eyes. She has light brown hair and blue eyes. The crazy thing is they are almost the exact same shade of blue as mine.

ETA: she has the cutest dimples. Next time around I'll be hoping for more dimples!

My side of the family has flat butts but DH's is so nice!!

That my kids would get green/hazel eyes like all of my dad's side of the family. Nope all brown like me.

I hope my baby girl gets my hair color (auburn) and my husband's eyes (hazel/green)!

@BabyBoecksMom: I feel the same way about noses... My husband's whole family have rather large, distinctive ones. It was hard to tell on the ultrasound - some images showed baby girl with a little button nose and others it looked big!

@JenGirl: Same -- my H and I both hope our kids get my skin because he is so pale and burns so easily/has skin cancer issues in his family.

I think our kids will inevitably have blue eyes, because we both do. I kind of hope they get my hair texture -- it's thick and wavy, vs. my H's that is straight and fine. I love his strawberry blonde color, though!

First off, as far as personality traits go, I hope they have my patience, haha.

But physical traits? Hmm. I just wanted them to get my skin so they didn't burn so quickly like DH. My youngest has my skin tone, my middle does not and my son's is kind of in between. I also hoped they got my DH's nose. He has a slim nose and I have a big button nose!!

I hoped she would have my eyes--dark blue, almond shaped--and she does. I hoped she would have my husband's lips--shapely and plumper than mine--and it's still too early to tell.

I also hoped she wouldn't inherit my super sensitive, fair, easily burned skin, or my wild eyebrows, or my poor circulation, and resulting cold hands and feet...but she got all those things too. Oh well!

My husband really hopes our second baby will be "brown" because he thinks that he is (he's 1/4 Guyanese, so he's kind of deluded about how brown he actually is, which is pretty brown in the summer, barely brown in the winter). I would love him to get my blue eyes.

We both have blue eyes, so basically knew DD would have them. I have wavy hair and DH has curly hair, we were both hoping DD would have curly hair, but it ended up being more on the wavy side (still super cute!!)

Not sure if this counts as physical but we're hoping all of our kids get my eyesight and DH's hearing since I have moderate hearing loss and DH has extremely poor vision.

I hope he looks like my husband (especially his beautiful dark skin!) but with my lips and eyes. Fingers crossed he gets to be a little bit taller than my DH (My husband is only 5'8 but my dad & his sisters are all over 6 feet). Hoping he get's our big booties ad small ears; dimples would be cute.

Before she was born, I hoped LO would get my mom's green eyes or blue eyes from DH's side (DH and I both have brown), and I also hoped she'd get a dimple in her chin like mine (runs in my family).

She ended up with super dark brown eyes and only a very shallow dimple, but she's perfect anyway.

I had no idea what they would look like because I'm Scandinavian with naturally blonde hair and blue eyes, fair skin, and DH is dark-haired, olive-toned, with hazel eyes, and he's part Japanese. I had hoped maybe one would get my blue eyes, but figured his traits would be dominant over mine. They both got amazing blends for eyes: DD1 has a blue ring around the most unusual green, almond shaped eyes, and DD2 has a dark blue ring around round, green/ brown hazel eyes and the longest, blackest, fullest lashes I've ever seen. They both have lovely, darker skin tones than mine. DH and I agreed we hoped they didn't get his nose, even SIL said she hoped that and she has the same nose as DH! So far they have little kid, little noses.

I hope my LO has light or hazel eyes (mine are blue-green and DH's are dark brown, so unlikely!), and I hope s/he has DH's dark, shiny, thick hair. We're both hoping s/he has my teeth, which are naturally super straight - trying to save some money on orthodontia down the road!

I feel like T got the best features of both of us.

My round face and lips
His dad's toes but my tiny feet. That's not really a plus since finding big boy shoes is hard haha.

The only thing I wish for the next one is that they get DH's skin color. He has beautiful smooth, tan skin tone and I'm milk white and get splotchy red. Also his eye color. They're a foresty brown/green. T got my milky skin and gray eyes.

@MrsSCB: Yes - dark Italian girl here! I'm happy any hair M has on her body is blonde!

I wanted her to get my husband's blue eye (which she did) and feet like mine b/c his are terrible! Her's seem ok so far.

I was hoping DD would get double eye lids but she got my mono lids!

Looking back at her 3D ultrasounds, she really did look like that!

@catlady: Isn't it funny? I was worried DS might look really white (I had some super blond, green-eyed half-Korean friends growing up who you would never know were mixed) and that people would mistake me for the nanny!
