I thought 100% that my daughter would have brown hair and brown eyes (my eyes her dads hair). I secretly hoped she would have his green eyes and my sorta blonde hair
Lo and behold. Strawberry blond hair (tons of it) and huge bright baby blue eyes. I had the nurses double check she was actually mine

I was hoping she would get his dimples and smile/lips.
I am still hoping she got my immune system--I'm healthier and better at fighting things off!
I checked last night to see if she's double jointed in her fingers like he is--I think she missed that one.

I hope that my second daughter has her father's ease of building muscle. My oldest has it, and she's quite strong and well muscled for a freaking four year old. I'd hate for them to be really different in that regard.

Hoping for DHs nose because mine is Czech/Slovak and huge! (Family nose, we all have it) and also for DH's hazel eyes instead of my grey ones.
Though I'm hoping he/she will get my skin, eyebrows and full lips! And DH's family has a history of bad teeth genetically so we're both hoping for my genetics in that department. The kiddo is bound to have blonde hair since we both did but I would love a dark haired baby

I hoped she would get her dads olive complexion- she did.
I hoped she would have his blue eyes- they will certainly not be blue but they are an interesting hazel.
I hoped she would have red hair like my sister and nephews- nope, but it may be alburn like mine.
We both hoped she would get my build. I'm slim and narrow. Ms side of the family has always had weight issues. My parents still weigh what they did in their 20s. Not sure on this yet- she's 80% for height and 10% for weight. I just don't want her to struggle with fluctuating weight more than vanity reasons.

I hoped they would have DH's eyes. (Mine are a pretty green but DH has beautiful blue eyes). DS1 has DH's shape eyes but my color. DS2 are blue so far but who knows what they will be. I hoped they have my chin (DH's family has a bit of a weak chin) and my lips (mine are full)- so far they both seem to have mine of both. I hope they get DH's height. He and his family are tall and my family is quite short. So far they are on the taller end.

@gingerbebe: that's a pretty funny description of your hubby and your LO. I'm sure my grandparents received some stares when walking around with my mom. The grands were both dark brown and my mom came out very, very light. Thank goodness she had her dad's nose; otherwise, she may have been suspected of being the milkman's. Lol

I was hoping DD would have my blue eyes but considering that DH is Italian and has very dark features I knew this was extremely unlikely. DD has dark brown eyes and I can't imagine her any other way. Luckily she also got my husband's crazy long, dark, and thick Italian eye lashes.
