Do they call you or your spouse? Is there someone else that they are calling?
My name is first on the call list. Then they call my husband. If they can't get us, they wait and try again. If it's an emergency, they'll go to the next person in line - a friend.

DCP calls me first
Public school calls DH ,not sure why though as I thought I put my name first

Me - daycare is located on my work campus so it's a no brainer. They call my cell first, then my office phone (I almost always have my cell with me in meetings)

They usually call me first and then they'll try Hubs. So far they've never not gotten a hold of one of us, but they do have emergency contact numbers (my mom and my best friend).

DCP has a running group text with me and DH. Whoever sees it first responds.

Me, then hubs. They've never gotten this far but we have a few other families at day care whom we are incredibly close with (and everyone at school knows it) so they would call one of those moms.

Me because until recently I was the closest (WFH). Now DH also WFH so it doesnt matter.
They've called a few times while I've been traveling for work and I've just asked if they could call DH instead.

They call my husband because he works in the town of daycare and I'm 25 minutes away. Plus I'm a teacher so phone calls are tricky.

Me. DH doesn't have access to his phone at work unless it's a break so they always contact me first. Plus, I do all the dropoff and pickup so they're more familiar with me than DH.

My husband, since he is able to have his cell phone on him at work. I can't, and am frequently in meetings.

Honestly, I'm not sure! Our daycare lady has never had to call us during the day! We've never had to pick him up for being sick cause the times he's been sick, we knew in the AM and kept him home. And she doesn't really tell us stuff during the day. He's had some behavior incidents, but she just waits to tell us at pick up.
At our old center though, they called us evenly. I was in classes and DH worked closer to daycare so half the time, one of us was unavailable to answer our phone

Not in daycare, but for school and such I'm always #1 on the list to call since I SAH.

85% of the time they get me on my cell.

I can't seem to get daycare to default to calling my husband - even though he picks up on sick day 90% of the time! So the answer is me but it should be my spouse.
