DD starts daycare on Monday. We did 2 trial days this week and I packed 3 bottles of pumped milk. I just left the caps on and packed the nipples.
This seems like a dumb question, but I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and put the nipples on?
Also, if you pack an extra bottle each day, do you just bring it back the next day? That's what I did this week.

I would put the nipples on and our daycare doesn't let us keep food there overnight. Good luck!

Our daycare has us bring bags and they prep the bottles. I bring 3 empty bottles and leave an extra bottle up there just in case.

Gotcha! They said the bottles have to be prepped ahead of time. I'm thinking it makes sense to put the nipples on ahead of time. And thanks for mentioning packing an extra bottle - I need to pack one to leave there!

We put the bottles completely together (nipple and cap on) and mark each bottle with LO's name and the date. We can't leave bottles there overnight. We leave an empty bottle and a bottle of premade formula in her daycare cubby in case she needs an extra bottle during that day.

We put the whole bottle (nipple & cap) together. I send 3 3.5 oz bottles & 1 2.5 or 3 oz bottle. If he doesn't drink a bottle I take it home and send it the next day.
I just try to keep track of the bottles I resend, because I don't want the milk to go past a week (I send fresh milk in the bottles).
My daycare has a basket in the freezer where I left an emergency stash of frozen milk. They also won't re-offer milk from a bottle he didn't finish. That's a little frustrating while we're trying to figure out just how much he needs to eat.

We pack 4 bottles for daycare. At our daycare you need to bring fully prepared bottles that are marked.

I pack 5 bottles and leave the caps on. I pack 2 nipples. They do not reuse unfinished bottles, so I pack smaller amounts in more bottles to prevent waste. They will keep an unused bottle overnight, and I have 3 bags if frozen milk in their freezer for emergencies!
