ETA: Back story. I met one of my guy friends today for lunch and a movie and we went to Tilted Kilt because we wanted a beer and it was right across from the theatre. I was surprised at how many kids were there and it hit me that I never even thought about whether I would be comfortable taking B.

Well, I am personally not a fan (a restaurant where the food pretty much sucks isn't my thing) but if all of a sudden they got a killer menu, sure. The girls aren't wearing any less than my kids would see at a pool/the beach.

Not until she was old enough to explain things like sexism and beauty standards to her. Though I don't go to them myself (and neither does DH in general), so I don't know of any reason why I would want to take LO.

Nope. We don't eat at chains in general (for the most part - DH has a weakness for Dinosaur BBQ), and I don't like the sports bar environment (with our without the sexism) for myself or my kids.

Nope. I don't want my daughter to think it's okay/fun to be objectified. Besides that, while I'm no Duggar, I try to practice modesty and self-respect in my wardrobe choices... those joints conflict with what I'm trying to model for my kids.

I used to get wings at hooters. It's supposed to be a "family restaurant" which I don't really get. I don't think I'd feel comfortable taking my kid there.

I don't go to those restaurants myself as I don't eat out a lot and when I go out, I like good food! I have taken DD to bar like environments though!

I've never heard of Tilted Kilt but I won't be taking my son to Hooters. I've never had any desire to go there before and certainly not with a child. I don't like the message they send about women and I don't want to expose my son to it.

Nope. I wouldn't go anyways...somehow it's cheesy and slightly creepy at the same time to me. I know it's not more than you see at a pool or anything, but the fact that the whole point of their uniform is to show all that off...not a fan.

No. But I think I've been to Hooters once in my entire life so it's not somewhere I went a lot pre-LO either. As far as I know they don't have a kids menu...I assume that's for a reason. There are SO many family-friendly restaurants that I can't imagine a scenario in which I'd take LO there.

@Mrs. Jacks: we took DS1 to Twin Peaks on his 1st birthday for lunch! Not because he is a boob man, though.
Honestly, I don't think its a big deal. The food isn't great but it's loud, has a lot going on which helps entertain my kid, had music playing, etc. it's laid back so if my child is on the loud side no one even notices.
