I'm 2 days shy of 39 weeks and hoping to have a VBAC, so they will not induce me. Today's appointment was very discouraging, and I need to make a decision about how to proceed. I have not progressed at all from my appt a week and a half ago, when I was 60% effaced and only had a "dimple" in my cervix. My doctor said I could either schedule a section for next week, wait a week and then decide after my next appt, or go up to 41 weeks when I have to have a c-section (and I'm comfortable with them not letting me go past that date). I really have no idea what the likelihood of me going into labor on my own in the next two weeks is when I have basically nothing but some effacement and a little softening going on. I know your stories won't change what my body is or isn't going to do, but I"m hoping it will help me have a general feel for what decision I should make.

So, if you had little to no dilation at around 39 weeks, tell me your story. Did you go into labor naturally? At what point?

Thanks!
