@LindsayInNY: Bummer, but glad you have your upcoming trip to look forward to. Oh, and a tip on the grand canyon mule riding, wear some of those padded bike shorts under your jeans + try to put a little weight on your legs when the mule is taking big steps down the canyon, it will save you from a sore tushy!

@LindsayInNY: ugh sorry lady!!! I recently went to the grand canyon but was too chicken for the mule ride, i cannot wait to hear about it! When i watched youtube clips of the ride down the cliffside, i wasn't sure i had it in me!

@chibee: I did the two day grand canyon mule trip where you stay in the bottom of the canyon overnight in 2008 and it was amazing, but very scary. Those mules are bigger than horses, and the trail is super narrow in a lot of places. I even have a photo, looking down at my foot in the stirrup, and it is practically hanging over the edge of the trail, and you can see the switchback of another portion of the trial below. Still, I highly recommend it if you can muster up the bravery!

@Sprite: @chibee: Thanks for the tip!! I think even a 3 hour trip will be tough on my butt, LOL!

Side note - the progesterone clearly helped the pre-AF spotting but holy cow did AF come into town with a vengeance! Nothing slow about this start. Ugh!

@LindsayInNY: So sorry you are out for this month. Will you continue with the progesterone?

@Sprite: Check your wall!!
@MrsMcD: I take it post-O. I have 3 refills so I'm going to try those before calling my doctor for testing. We'll see if that's the solution!

@littleredhairedgrl: Happy Birthday! Congrats!
I'm almost positive I'm out for the month. BFN this morning, but AF hasn't shown up yet.

So, I POAS, but I'm going cross eyed trying to look at my test, and imagining faint shadows when I tilt it. Pretty sure I just want to see a line, more than there actually is one though! For now I'll call it an 8DPO BFN, and feel ok drinking b-day wine with my DH tonight. I'm definitely not bummed or out yet though!

@LindsayInNY: Sorry to hear! Ready for good news for you in December though! There is something magical about the holiday season...
@Sprite: Is it a squinter worth posting?? Definitely not time to be bummed, enjoy wine and hubby bday time!

I have been following along and so happy for the BFPs we've had already this month! And FX for the ladies who are rolling over to next month.
I'm at 7DPO today and had spotting from the day of O and the FIVE days after. SO weird. My Ovulation Chart
For the past three years I have been spotting in the days before AF, but this cycle is weird as the spotting (from red blood to more of a maroon CM) started on the day of O and then stopped yesterday. Ugh. This is our first cycle ever trying but I've been nervous ever since the pre-AF spotting started a few years ago that it might mean we'd have problems conceiving some day. I've seen THREE OB/GYNs about this spotting since it can be super annoying and also had me worried about more serious problems it might indicate and so far they have done an u/s and some bloodwork and pronounced me healthy as far as they could tell and my new OB/GYN said she'd look into it further if we were unable to conceive after 6 months, as she said plenty of her patients have spotting/irregular bleeding and have no trouble getting PG. Somehow that hasn't kept me from being troubled by the spotting. But only time will tell if she's right.
On another note, @cole had posted about a fertility study that Ohio State University is doing and I had tried to sign up and gotten some weird error messages. It turns out their site had a bug in it, which is now fixed and they asked me to tell you ladies that if you had unsuccessfully tried to register for the study before, please try again now that the bug is fixed.
I'm all for helping add to the body of research on conception and fertility factors if I can! Here's where you do the screening to see if you're eligibe:
https://peeps.osumc.edu/
(note that one of the questions in the screener asks how many months ago you last used "birth control", but they really meant "contraception", not necessarily the BCP)
Also, this isn't a huge incentive for me (I'm in it for the sake of the science) but it looks like they offer $50 in gift cards for folks who complete the study.

Gr. Just when I thought this cycle couldn't get weirder with my lack of cm, spotting, and crazy temps...I took a OPK and got a positive! This is very early for me! CD13! Normally I'm CD16 or 17. Looks like I won't be able to confirm O though. My temps are cray cray. I would be shocked if FF can figure this stuff out. Oh! And my husband and I have argued ALL day. I'm already ready for this stupid cycle to be over with.

My cramping has seriously amped up tonight. I'm expecting AF to come tomorrow. So now I'm hoping for a Christmas BFP. I'm going to look into SMEP. Is that something you guys would recommend. I don't know much about it.
Good luck to everyone else and congrats to those that have already gotten BFP's.

So... I hate to be a line jumper but...
was totally not expecting this tonight! DH brought home a bottle of wine and I figured I'd do the responsible thing and POAS (assuming it'd be negative). but you guys... there's a baby in there!
Good luck to everyone testing in the next couple of days... lets keep the streak going!

@chibee: I am! I keep meaning to ask someone, if they send me a friend request I can see there charts but can they see mine or do I need to send a request back?
@LindsayInNY: I was so hopeful for you this month, but it is awesome that there is a major silver lining for you!
@gingerk: So sorry you are rolling over, I hope next month is the month!
@thismustbetheplace: Congratulations!!! Maybe buying that outfit was a subconscious clue! I think you bring us officially to as many BFPs in one week as last month which means this must be a super lucky month!
Does anyone else have issues with major headaches midway through their luteal phase? It happened last month around the same time and I was miserable yesterday and I woke up with the same headache today. It is just borderline being a full blown migraine-- my eyes hurt but I don't feel compelled to find dark, I was nauseous yesterday but I also ate junk all day because I felt too awful to actually cook something. I only have Advil both at home and work so I guess this morning I will try and buy some Tylenol so I can take something, caffeine just barely took the edge off yesterday.
