My daughter is 11 months old and has been putting herself to sleep since she was about six months old which is the same time I introduced her to her lovey. At that same time, she decided she didn't want her paci any more and she wanted her thumb instead. Since then, I have put her down in her crib and the second she touches her lovey, her thumb goes in her mouth and she goes to sleep. All that just to say that, the past two naps and this morning she is throwing the lovey over the side of her crib and then immediately starts fussing so she doesn't fall back alseep. This is really cutting her sleep times short. How can I break this habit? If I go on there to give her the lovey, all bets are off and she thinks it is play time and throws the lovey back out. When does this throwing stage end???
