I was just poking around my benefits at work and just wanted to be bummed somewhere that people could relate.

My company took away infertility benefits for 2014. I found out 48 hours after our reproductive endocrinologist informed us that we probably only have a 1% chance of conceiving.

Yet my company is still offering $10,000 in adoption benefits. I think that adoption is really wonderful. I do. And maybe someday I will adopt, even we are able to conceive a child of our own. But I'm just feeling bummed that my company and insurance companies are really more interested in the dollar than the individual holding the insurance card.

I want that $10K for an opportunity to conceive my own biological child.
