I'm going shopping for LO's new bed tomorrow..
Not sure if I should get a toddler bed or a twin sized bed..

I'm going straight to twin once my LO needs to be moved out of the crib. I think I might put the mattress straight on the floor though for awhile, until he learns not to fall out. I read this somewhere, can't remember where?!

@sloaneandpuffy: we do! Lo was sick and threw up all over it.. We didn't have a waterproof cover on it so all the vomit juice seeped into the mattress. :T we're moving on Monday so decided to toss it and get a new bed for her

I was going to say that you can get toddler beds super cheap used, but if you're planning to buy new then spring for the twin

I say go for twin and save yourself another purchase later on when she outgrows the toddler bed.

we went through this decision-making process recently and ended up with a twin for DD #2 at around 11 months.

As everyone else has said, definitely a twin. She'll outgrow the toddler bed soon enough so it's a waste of money.
