I know under the new Affordable Care Act, breast pumps are now being covered by insurance providers once your plan is renews post Augst 2012. I've seen a few posts on HB that ladies are getting the nice electric double pumps. I inquired with my insurance carrier, and this is the response I got:

As part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), new coverage requirements for women's preventive services go into effect for plan/policy years beginning on or after August 1, 2012. This coverage applies to ungrandfathered plans. Your plan is ungrandfathered.

Manual Breast Pumps are eligible for coverage at 100% with no cost sharing. Electric or hospital grade breast pumps are not eligible.

Does anyone know why electric pumps aren't included???? I thought they were? I'm totally stumped and not sure what my next steps are!
