10 days post partum and I'm still getting fairly intense after pains/uterine cramps. They feel like really bad waves of gas, but they're not.
Is it normal to have them this "far" out??

I was still on consistant advil at that point. Lots of pain, and way worse when I over exerted myself. Make sure you are taking it easy!!

unfortunately. like @bpcmarj said overexertion can make it so much worse. but if you feel like it isn't normal don't hesitate to call healthcare provider. they are usually quick to check you out and ease your mind! so sorry you're in pain!

I had them for about three weeks. Totally sucked I had to ask for more painkiller prescription.

Ok I feel better that it's not completely out of the ordinary. Thanks!
I must say, they are nothing compared to the aches and pains I feel down below

@aprk: Sounds normal. My entire body was a train wreck for at least 2 weeks after delivery. I sat on a donut for a good 10+ days and was in Advil longer. It gets better. Almost 10 mo pp now.

@pregnantbee: glad to hear it gets better I felt ridiculous the other day googling "aching labia" lol.

@aprk: You wouldn't believe my ridiculous search history. Hang in there. You'll feel better soon, and don't be afraid of Advil. And drink lots of water and try to take it easy best you can. Tough, I know, when you're not used to this new life and feel like you need to do stuff around the house, etc. Call your dr if you're concerned.

@pregnantbee: thanks for checking in! I am feeling pretty good. I saw my midwife and she "dug out" some stitches that weren't dissolving (her words). The aching and cramping are definitely getting better and better, thankfully.

@aprk: Yay! So glad you're feeling better. And glad your dr confirmed that there was a reason for the pain to still be around. Only better from here
