Ugh, we deal with middle of the night wake ups so infrequently that I have no idea what to do right now! Our 10 month old has been STTN for a very long time now, but at 4AM L woke up crying in his crib...I waited a bit to see if he would settle back down, but no luck, so I went to check on him. He did have himself kind of crammed into the corner of the crib and it looked uncomfortable, so I picked him up and moved him. The second I picked him up he was all smiles, but of course once I put him down it was immediate screaming, which has barely calmed down over a half hour later. I made the mistake of going in once more about 10 minutes ago to reassure him that I'm still here but it's not time to get up yet. Pretty sure he just saw that as 'Mommy's here! She's going to let me be up for the day! Oh wait, no, she's leaving again?!'

I want to cry, he sounds so upset But I know he just wants to be up for the day, and how jacked up would both of our sleep schedules be if I let him get up at 4AM? I'm pregnant and tired, kid...go back to sleep! Ugh.

How did you deal with middle of the night wake ups as your LO got older? I don't think he's teething, and he ate a normal amount yesterday so he shouldn't be hungry, although I'm considering feeding him a bit to see if that would help - but I don't know, my mom instincts are failing me at the moment, I'm not sure what is the right thing to do.
