I know there have been many discussions about breast pumps and the Affordable Care Act here recently. I also know that some people's insurances only cover manual pumps (which is crazy, I think). My personal issue was that I couldn't find a provider that has any pumps in stock because of the huge number of patients ordering them right now. Every company I called isn't even taking orders because they're so backed up.

Anyway, I just wanted to relay my recent success story, in case it helps someone else in a similar position. I called the hospital at which I'll be delivering, and they have pumps! In stock! They're not listed as a DME provider but I can still get one from them since they're an in-network hospital. So if you can't find a regular DME provider that has a pump, check your hospital!

I can't wait to go pick up my Medela PIS
