Just curious! I always hear people say that pumps don't last that long, but I have never heard from someone IRL whose pump gave out. If yours did, how long had you used it for and what type was it?

My Ameda Purely Yours gave out after a few months of using it 7-9 times a day. I called customer service and they sent me a replacement and asked me to ship the faulty one back. The pump came with a one year warranty!

My Medela freestyle went out after just a few months of using it - They overnighted me a new one and I had one the next morning, it was the speediest customer service ever! Very necessary since I only pumped and didn't nurse!

I've had my Medela Freestyle close to a year and it seems like it's on its last legs!

@Clementine: Does the pump sound bad or is the suction poor or what? I guess I just am wondering how you know. I thought mine might be dying a few weeks ago due to poor suction and then I just realized my tubing was loose and my membranes were kind of getting ratty. I got new ones and now it's fine again.
But I guess if the pump itself sounds bad, that is how you would know?

@Rock n Roll: It's not sucking properly. I already got new tubing and membranes. My last hope is replacing the breast shield and if that doesn't work then it's def a goner. Thank you for the suggestion though!
