I think my new clinic mentioned that they tested for APAs either at my first appointment or yesterday. It wasn't something that I asked for (I had no idea what they were testing for) but it was part of their standard panel. It sounds like it's worth asking about! If you're concerned about NK cells, you might want to look into a good fish oil, because supposedly they bring down your NK cell levels.

I haven't but I'd like to. Not sure every RE believes in the immunological side, but I'd like to test if this FET fails.

@mrswin: There's also an extensive immunology support group on Yahoo Groups. Not a lot of REs get into immunology so it seems like people see someone else who will test and treat them. I saw that you live in Toronto and there's a Dr. Laskin at Lifequest who does reproductive immunology?

@mrswin: at my ivf follow up appt, my doctor said he would test for apas, but he thinks the doctors who treat for nkAs are guilty of malpractice. Just thought I would share his very strong opinion on the subject.

@mrswin: I think there is a strong divide in the community between traditional REs and reproductive immunologists. My doc thinks there is no good science connecting NKas and infertility, and that the new intralipid treatments they use to replace IVIG infusion (because IVIG was incredibly expensive) are just placebos because they are missing whatever it was in IVIG that ostensibly treated the immunity issues. He is one of the top dogs at a top NYC clinic, but of course this is just his opinion. I will say that although there seems to be a lot of doctors on the web who treat immunological issues, in real life, I think only a very small percentage of REs do so. My RE also says the reproductive immunologists do a very good job at marketing themselves and praying upon the fears of women. But they do have devout followers so I guess you have to decide for yourself.
