LO's preschool doesn't do Valentine's Day celebrations of any sort, which I'm actually a little bummed about. I LOVED getting little Valentine's cards from school growing up. They are doing a food drive instead...which I guess is a nice thing to teach kids.

Ours does not. But they celebrate Mardi Gras just before Valentine's Day.

Our school didn't celebrate Christmas because they were just "too busy this holiday season" yet they are having a Valentine's Day party.

Ours doesn't, since it's not an American school. I asked and her teacher said DD can bring something in though. We are American.

@matador84: most parents so far have been good about not giving candy. And everything comes home first.

@BandDmommy: @regberadaisy: let's just say the director is not really happy with me right now for calling her out on that. Long story short, she was going through "personal issues" and it affected her work at Christmas time.
