    @snarkybiochemist: Thanks girl! How are you doing?

  2. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

    @mrskansas: Ok I'm feeling like I'm solidly in the middle of first tri (which I am).

  3. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @snarkybiochemist: hello nausea & exhaustion

  4. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

    @mrskansas: exactly I cook Easter dinner and I just asked my husband if we could find an alternative to ham since ham sounds like the most awful thing ever right now. He told me he hopes this passes by next week b/c he would really prefer ham

  5. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @snarkybiochemist: hahaha, maybe he should do the cooking!! That's funny how he replied.

  6. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

    @mrskansas: He can and will if I decide that there isn't an alternative to ham and that the meal really should be frosted lemonade and saltines

  7. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @snarkybiochemist: I didn't have much nausea in the first tri but I did crave those frozen lemonades that you get at baseball games like crazy. I found them in bulk at Sam's and ate so many that even to this day they don't sound good.

  8. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

    @mrskansas: what I am in the mood for most is the soft serve lemonade mix thing you can get at chick-fil-a

  9. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @snarkybiochemist: I think the sourness of the lemon helped with some of the nausea. That and I only wanted cold food/drinks.
    Hopefully your "morning" sickness is short lived.

  10. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

    @mrskansas: sour and cold are my friends right now

  11. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @snarkybiochemist: this probably sounds weird but I would buy those candy sour punch straws and freeze them. soo good and it helped my stomach on the really queasy days.

    @mrskansas: that sounds good, thanks

    I could not get ahold of the nurse today to discuss my results and order additional draws. It drives me crazy to carry my phone around all day and then never get a return call, but oh well...

    I'm having so much cramping, which I think is normal. It's a bit unnerving, but no spotting or anything. I'll gladly take early pregnancy to bfns but it is still not my favorite - everything feels so much in limbo...

    @periwinklebee: hugs! Early cramps are the worst but usually good I think!

    @periwinklebee: I'm sorry you weren't able to get in touch with anyone and for the limbo feeling. It must be so hard, especially after everything you've been through.

    @periwinklebee: Ugh sorry girl, that's frustrating. Hopefully you are able to relax this weekend and find out more on Monday.

    @bhbee: @jhd: @mrskansas: Thank you I know that they probably couldn't tell me much anyway until my hcg is high enough to confirm whether there's a sac, which would rule out molar tissue. Trying to channel zen and keep working on being more patient - I feel like if I can lower my background level of impatience about dumb stuff, I get less stressed and impatient about TTC as well. Of course, easier said than done.

    That's good to know about cramping, I remember some of it from last time but not nearly this much and it was making me wonder - combined with the lowish hcg - if it was a sign that bleeding was about to start.

    I hope everyone has a great weekend! My husband's birthday is today and I'm throwing him a party tomorrow, so I'm excited about that!

    coconut / 8079 posts

    @periwinklebee: that's a really good point about lowering other stress in your life to hopefully help with the TTC/pregnancy stress. I'm working towards this too. I hope you are able to rest some this weekend and that you have a wonderful time celebrating your DH!

    @jhd: Thank you! I hope that you have a wonderful weekend as well.

    Someone from my doctor's office did call, but not the usual nurse. I think it was whoever was closing things up for the day, and let's just say that she did not seem very happy to be there at 5pm on a Friday afternoon. Her literal words (said in the most annoyed tone) were "For some reason your hcg was 37 today, and I don't know what the hell is going on. So come back Monday and hopefully it's not too bad. In the meantime, go to the ER if you're in pain." And that was the extent of it... ugh. I really want to switch to a provider that puts more emphasis on bedside manner.

    @periwinklebee: That is horrible that the nurse spoke to you like that. I hope everything works out for you. I know it will be hard, but try to enjoy your weekend.

    @periwinklebee: That's terrible! I'm so sorry that happened to you. Hopefully you can try to enjoy your weekend and push it out of your mind till Monday!

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

    @Tionn3: Thanks I'm less than happy with them on various fronts. A month ago the nurse told me that I probably didn't have a partial molar pregnancy but I'd have to go to the genetic specialist in the same office in order to discuss it. And I couldn't talk with a doctor because he was on vacation. When I finally got in to see the genetic specialist, they told me they had no idea about partial molar and that was for my doctor to decide. It seems like there are just too many people and no one really communicates. This was not the first time that the bedside manner has been less than great either. Ugh...I know on some levels they are good - I was happy with how the D&E went.

    @skiierchck99: Thanks Hopefully I'll be able to talk to the usual nurse Monday, who has always been great...

    @mrskansas: goodluck on this next medicated cycle. I know there have been many challenges these last several months and I hope you get your take home baby soon.

    @periwinklebee: oh my! I cannot believe she spoke to you that way. That is so unprofessional. It doesn't matter if it's Friday evening or not! FX you don't have to deal with her again!

    @periwinklebee: Sorry you're going through all that. I would be pissed at all the runaround too. Hopefully you get good news soon!

  28. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

    @azjax: @jhd: @2littlepumpkins: Thank you guys I've had some fantastic nurses at this hospital, but also some that were not very good... oh well, at least I didn't need anything from her.

    I took another cheap test this morning, and at 14dpo it is still as much of a faint squinter as it was at 11dpo, doesn't appear darker at all. Last time the cheap tests got dark decently well, better than FRERs, so it is not making me feel very hopeful. Nothing to do at this point though but wait...

    @periwinklebee: I'm sorry, hon. The person in the phone had no right to talk to you like that. We are all here for you and I am thinking the most positive thoughts. Hugs.

  33. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

    @jhd: @Coral: @bhbee: @mrskansas: Thank you guys, your support really means a lot. I was kind of upset because the test is definitely not darker and I think it probably should be by 14dpo. Pretty sure it was last time. But I told myself to get a grip and deal with a chemical if or when it happens. Optimism is gone but trying to remain agnostic.

    @coral: Thanks for doing the latest update, I've been really swamped w/ work and life the last couple of days and haven't even had a chance to check HB.

    @skiierchck99: congrats!

    @lilyofthewest: what a beautiful line!

    @periwinklebee: oh sister, I'm so sorry you're in limbo like this. Sending you lots of love and that this is the real deal.

    @mrskansas: what a roller coaster! Wishing you lots of luck this cycle.

    @snarkybiochemist: good call on making DH do the cooking if he really wants ham that bad! He should be waiting on you anyway

    As for me, I'm still only 6 DPO. I actually had to look that up on my app - that's how busy and distracted I've been, which is not really a bad thing. Last night I dreamt I POAS'd and got two lines. But in my dream I knew it wouldn't necessarily mean anything since I had a trigger shot this cycle. Part of me wants to ask those of you who had done trigger shots and POAS'd until it was white how long that took... and then part of me doesn't want to know so I don't fixate on POASing. AF is due in one week so hopefully I can stay chill til then. Trying to tell myself I'm not pregnant so I won't be disappointed if/when AF shows. So tired of this shit! It's IUI next cycle for sure, if I'm not pregnant this cycle.

    Also I was SO busy and distracted from TTC this week that I forgot to take my progesterone suppositories on Tues & Wed. Tues was to be my first day. So I didn't start it until Thurs. which was 5 days after the trigger shot and likely 4 DPO. Do you think it's still okay? I've been meaning to call the RE's office but, again, so busy that my brain really is elsewhere every waking hour.

  36. Mrs.Panda

    nectarine / 2358 posts

    @dominobee: I would think it's still okay because they prescribe progesterone to sustain a pregnancy that has low levels (if that makes sense). Good luck!

    @periwinklebee: I'm so sorry for the uncertainty and for how that nurse spoke to you! I don't understand how you couldn't be kinder in a field with such high emotions.

    @dominobee: @Mrs.Panda: Thank you

    @dominobee: I'm glad you have been able to be distracted from TTC. I'm trying that now too. There's so little that we can actually do to make it work and I feel like I'd be much better off if I could focus my thoughts elsewhere - but it's *hard*! Work deadlines are great for forcing distraction...
