I opened a wondfo to take a test this morning just for funsies (I'm cd44 and at this point I have zero faith in when I might have o'd!). The package was empty. I grab a second test, 5 minutes later, massive smudge. Okay universe, I get it…

Hi all, been crazy busy with a new job so haven't posted too much here lately.
Still TTC. In the TWW. This cycle I didn't stress too much, I knew I had a lot of work travel scheduled.
I DTD with hubby Friday of last week but according to my app wasn't supposed to O until Saturday, but I had to fly out of town Sun.
So I think I'm 7dpo? Didn't use opks this month as I knew that I only had one shot!
My boobs are hurting big time, and I'm sooo exhausted. I had those symptoms with DS1.
Anyhow, planning to POAS late tomorrow night when I get home even though it's prob too early.

Alrighty, bfn this morning after yesterday's test fail. At this point, I'm 100% sure we are out (we each had separate trips back to back, so no sex for about a week and a half) and I'm just twiddling my thumbs waiting for old AF to show. I don't think I'll ever be so glad to see her! We are headed down to DC for a race this weekend, so it will be nice to see some friends and run with the cherry blossoms. Plus, I'd never be happier to run with my period if it happens to show up.

So this month I was trying to be good and temp every day... Well I did get up this morning to temp and I started taking my temperature but I fell back asleep before it completed. *smh* oh well at least it's early in my cycle.

I usually get 2 days of positive opks, but today (cd17) its light again (I had 2 dark lines on CD16) Do you think this means O already happened?

@ocean81: same here! so confused! I use Clear blue Advanced and I only got one flashing smiley before it turned solid. I'm going to the RE to confirm on the sonogram tomorrow morning. If I did ovulate then it's a full 9 days earlier than last cycle.

I had a scan on Friday (CD11), I had 9 follicles varying from 8mm to 11mm. Went in for another scan yesterday and had a 13mm, 12mm and three 11mm.
I go in for yet another scan tomorrow on CD15. I'm still on follistim, the RE upped my dosage since I didn't have much of a response between Friday and Sunday. I'm a little worried because I have 5 follicles that are above 11mm. I don't want this cycle to get cancelled because of too many follicles!

@ocean81: I would assume so.
@marley: I only got one day of a smile when we TTC for our first. I just used the clearblue monitor in March and it never caught my peak. So this is our first month TTC #2, I am going to use the monitor in the am and the OPK's in the afternoon. Guessing I have a short surge. Too much peeing on sticks if you ask me but trying it for a month.
But 9 days early is really odd.
@KT326: I have no clue what any of that means but good luck!

@Smurfette: isn't it weird? Last cycle I had a 2 solid smileys a week apart, with no ovulation following the first solid smiley, so this one could be a false positive as well, which Clear Blue insists does not exist. The blank circle could mean that the LH level isn't rising but holding steady. My CM matches ovulation though, so we'll see what the scan tells me tomorrow morning. It's 9 days early, but it is CD14 so hopefully it's just my body going back to normal.

@Smurfette: Thanks! I'm doing a medicated IUI cycle with injectibles (follistim). Lots of monitoring so I know exactly what is going on in my ovaries!
If I end up with 3 or more mature follicles my cycle gets cancelled because we don't want to risk having multiples.

@marley: that would be great! Why are your cycles messed up?
@KT326: got it! fingers crossed for you.
I'm waiting on AF to start so we can get this party started!
kiwi / 706 posts
@Smurfette: not sure. It could be that they've always been messed up and I didn't know it since I've been either on the pill or pregnant. I got off of the pill in September so hopefully it's that. I would love to have 28-day cycles instead of 40!

Still no period. Everyone is lapping me on cycles! This also means I won't be testing in April. I'm wondering if it makes sense to reach out to the acupuncturist I saw last time now, or if I need to wait until I have FINALLY moved on to the next cycle? DC was a great time. RIDICULOUSLY windy on race day, but I still did pretty well and really enjoyed catching up with friends (and my daughter flipped her shit over the National Zoo, which was totally worth the trip). I need to keep reminding myself that in the grand scheme of things, a few weeks or even a few months is REALLY not a big deal. Originally we wanted our kids to be closer to 2.5-3 years apart, and we aren't even quite there yet!
I'm also thinking of temping next cycle, because this guessing game is really driving me batty. For some reason this seems like a huge step, which makes me nervous! Charters, what BBT thermometer should I use? And i'm guessing I should temp vaginally, because go big or go home, right?

@KT326: I hope you don't get cancelled. however, I did medicated IUI this cycle as well and two days before the iui I had 5 pretty good follies. 24.3, 18.6, 14.4, 13.7 and 11.6 and I didn't get cancelled. Maybe a couple of yours will take the lead and keep growing and the others will slow up? Good luck!

@Ajsmommy: Thanks! This office is pretty strict about the number of follicles you can have. The last RE office I was with 5 years ago let me go ahead with the IUI when I had 5 follicles as well. I just had to sign a bunch of paperwork. Luckily only one fertilized and implanted!

Well, my son was sick all weekend with a high fever, and he got better Sunday, but now I am sick. Last time when I miscarried, I had a stomach bug at Around 3 weeks preg, and always wondered if that had anything to do with it. I'm kind of freaking out

I'm so excited to join the TTC boards again!
Cycle Day: 17
TTC Cycle: 9 (this month marks our 1 year of trying, previously I wasn't ovulating but found a combo of fertility drugs that work for me and I actually ovulated this cycle for the first time! Woohoo!)
Ovulation Date: April 4
POAS Date: April 19
Baby #: 1
What's up this month: Work mostly, plus additional training for work. I have been monitored again this cycle and so far good news. Heading in for progesterone blood work on Monday.
For Fun - Favorite Spring activity? I'm not particularly partial to spring tbh. But I'm looking forward to bonfires again!

@KT326: I took 5mg of letrozole this cycle too. It looks like we have the same timing too!
kiwi / 501 posts
@KT326: Boo, I'm sorry!! My RE is very strict as well, and anything over 3 they cancel! I often wonder if it's really because the risk of multiples is that high? Hoping you get some nice mature follies and they don't have to cancel! My RE told me if we move to injectables I would have to be monitored like every other day because of how quickly those follies can grow! FX for you!!

@WinterBee: Awesome! Good luck this cycle!
@Winnie13: Thanks! I only had 3 monitoring ultrasounds this time, my very first IUI (5 years ago) I had 7!
I went in for my third ultrasound yesterday and they had me trigger last night. IUI is tomorrow, POAS is the 21st! I had two follicles, one on my right was 16.5mm and one on my left was 16mm plus a bunch of smaller ones (13mm or less).

I hate the TWW!
AF is due Monday and seven cycles in I am still going crazy symptom spotting. This month has brought a few differences I didn't see any of the previous 6 cylces, so I don't know if I'm going crazy or of they genuinely mean something, lol.
TMI- A LOT of gross thick CM. Usually I don't have much after O, maybe a bit of lotiony, one month was slippery the whole two weeks. And today I noticed how LOW and SOFT my cervix is, which is unusual for me at this point, it's never felt this soft.
I may test tomorrow, it'll be ten days, but I"m trying to hold out until it's due Monday....
