Thank you ladies!! I will stop complaining about my job now, all my HR issues have been resolved. This makes me feel better about being able to buy a house next summer! I may or may not have immediately come home and told DH we are either going to Costa Rica, DR, or Italy next year for vacay! It's time to upgrade baby lol!

Thanks ladies! I got a darker positive this morning so I think I Oed at some point today(Wednesday); a day later than I expected. We're BDing every other day, so I'm hopeful we caught it.

Also @mrsmccarthy: it is SO your month!

Iv been really ill this week with what I thought was a sinus infection (made BDing very romantic!) so I took Sudafed which is a decongestant. I also took ibuprofen. Just found out that both of these are not recommended when ttc. Did not know and took them in ignorance. Apparently, the Sudefed dries up CM so not happy that I took it on my O day I'm sure lots of you might know this but thought I would share in case anyone else is tempted.

@MrsHansen82: Woohoo! Glad you caught O!

@Mrs.Lilac: Aww it's okay... health comes first! Maybe you can drink some green tea or even Mucinex to help w/ CM?

I'm having a good morning! Finally got a "peak" opk reading and when I took the stick out it looked like the most clear positive I've EVER seen on my own opk in over a year of charting! I had to check about 10 times to make sure I was looking at the test and control line in the right direction lol

    @anyajenkins: Nice!!

I just had a thought... SO glad HPTs don't work like OPKs haha. If they have to be as dark as control, I think we'd all be going crazy!

  14. Anya

    nectarine / 2784 posts

@snowjewelz: oh I know, I hate that the opks are so subjective. I wish they had a line/no line design like HPT

    Ovulation & POAS dates // April 6th/ April 20

Your game plan this month // THE KITCHEN SINK! As most of you know i have a really good feeling about this month so I plan to maximize our chances by making dietary and lifestyle changes. We are also going to work really hard to get my son down to only a couple feeds a day starting Friday night. Not looking forward to it but hoping it works after a couple nights of hell with no sleep.

@snowjewelz: definitely agree with you about the OPKs! I gave up on 'em a couple of cycles ago. According to OPK, no ovulation- just a faint faint line. BUT THEN my temp spikes and maintains, confirming ovulation! Soooo... I hedge my bets with lots of BD and keep on temping to confirm.

  19. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@LIL BEAN: Good job! Yeah, sometimes I feel like you just need to go with your gut and make a choice about what you'll trust. Test? Temps? CM? It gets so confusing! Sometimes I'm even suspicious of FF haha.

@LIL BEAN: @snowjewelz: I had a good friend tell me this morning, "Your body is smarter than the opk". I'm repeating that to myself today!

    @MrsMccarthy: I want a rune reading. LOL.
I was sad to see AF arrived. Although I have been silent, I have been checking in the last few days to see if you had any updates.

So DH's baby alarm has finally started going off. This is probably the first cycle that he has abstained from any releases other than when DTD. And BDing is now really different... I think because he's totally excited for me to get pregnant and because he's a little pent up when we only DTD every 3 days. He's been a little more aggressive during the act and it's just been surprising. LOL.

Has DTD ever changed during the course of TTC for anyone else?

  24. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@HolisticMama: thanks honey! Go to Facade dot com for a free rune reading! I am cheering you on as well. Can't wait till we all have babies and can laugh at the stress of TTC.

  25. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@HolisticMama: Yay! So happy to hear that DH is on board!

For us, TTC has really ramped out our sex life... We have never DTD as much as we did this cycle

@MrsMccarthy: LOL. I got a really fun rune reading!
    http://www.facade.com/runes/personal/?UID=986538&Name=Anonymous&Query=Will+I+birth+a+healthy+baby+in+December%3F&Deck=&Reading

Will I birth a healthy baby in December?

"The Fork spread is used at critical turning points, to understand the dynamics of an important decision. Gold Runes are most commonly used for questions about business, career, and property.

The left rune represents the first possible outcome. Berkana represents the birch tree. The birch is frequently symbolic of renewal, rebirth, birth, growth and fertility. This rune is a joyous one, representing good outcomes from ventures undertaken. It is the rune of the family and of a good household.

The right rune represents the second possible outcome. Inguz is the rune of completion and fertility. The presence of this rune suggests that tasks which have been initiated will come to fruition. This rune is associated with Ing and Frey, it is this connection that explains its connotations of both fertility and sexuality. The variant of this rune shown here is reminiscent of the twin strands of life, and of the challenge and rewards of bringing together things complimentary.

The bottom rune represents the critical factor that determines what will come to pass. Uruz symbolizes the Auroch, a member of the ox family that became extinct long ago. This rune represents the strength, bravery, and endurance of this animal of old. Uruz portends the ability to meet problems head on and to overcome them. When the world was new, warriors used to test their strength against the Auroch. Hence, this rune has come to represent the masculine principle and the capacity to meet a challenge."

@Mrs.Lilac: Don't worry too much about the Sudafed. If you've already BD before O, I think you have your bases covered. The little swimmers from before are probably long past your cervix by now, so they wouldn't CM anyway.

@MrsMccarthy: Ooh I like this list ! I'm going to go shopping and get some fertility foods !

  35. dc yoga bee

    grapefruit / 4770 posts

@MrsMccarthy: I love learning about fertility foods. I've been eating kale salads like amd, and drinking a glass of WHOLE milk daily for fertility. So many articles about whole milk and not low fat for balancing hormones. It was interesting when our doctor told us to switch to whole milk bc she said low fat milk messes with our hormones, and especially women's fertility. We didn't even tell the neurologist we were ttc!

  36. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

@dc yoga bee: As you know, I also LOVE foods for fertility. I have been doing raw whole milk. And I have NEVER drank milk before. It has taken me nearly a year to be able to drink it straight and not have things mixed in with it. LOL. It feels really nourishing though.

I'm also taking a new Adrenal supplement: https://www.drrons.com/organ-and-glandular-supplements/adrenal-new-zealand.html

My energy levels and sleep have vastly improved since I started taking it a few weeks ago. I'm also hoping it will help with my DHEA levels.

I'm posting more in the March thread regarding TWW since I technically still "belong" over there haha. I feel great, just symptom spotting and asking my dog constantly if she knows something I don't!
