Anyone planning to do something special to give the good news about your bfp this time around. I'm thinking about how fun it would be to break the news in a fun way.

Eh, probably not...I'm sure he will know right away!

after 8 months ttc as soon as I got a positive at 5am I ran screaming into the room to wake him up. In actual fact I think this was rather nice as it was us sharing the news at the same time instead of me having kept it from him until giving him a baby gro or something. If we have more children the only thing id do different would be to wake him up before taking the test, poor DH got such a fright as me running screaming into the room!
We did do cute surprise announcements to other family though, we put my chihuahua in a "big brother" tshirt

Eh, probably not unless he's traveling when I find out. Last time I tested at 4:30 and let him sleep until 4:45 before waking him up to tell him.

I'm not that exciting. Didn't do anything special with DD1's bfp. DD2's was only special because it was our anniversary. I have a hard time keeping things from DH.

I woke DH up for BFP #1. I tested recently (neg) and he admitted he was half awake and listening hoping I would wake him up with good news again. So, I guess he likes that method of announcing.

Nope. He just asked that I try not to tell him by text this time. We had unique circumstances last time lol

I didn't either time. This time I called him to tell him, because I tested at work. Last time I walked out of the bathroom and told him.

I always think of cute ideas but in reality there's no way I could keep the news from him long enough to do something clever! I'm sure next time I'll do what I did the first time--just walk in the bedroom and tell him.

I told him he needed to run to CVS and pick up some tests!
Telling in a fun way would be cute! My DH was just too aware of where I was in my cycles so we always tested together.

I bought a baby hat he had liked when we were shopping for friends and found a sort of baby-ish picture frame that he had given me years ago when we were saying because it referenced a silly pet name. I found out about an hour before he got home from work and put a note with the due date in it in the frame and put that, the hat and pee stick in a box and wrapped it. He was immediately suspicious but surprised and excited. Had I tested in the morning it probably would have meant waving a dripping stick around our bedroom.

I had wanted to do something cool for baby #2 but when I tested not expecting a positive (and hadn't expected we could get pregnant on our own this time) I just had to tell DH right away. So I gave the pee stick to our lo and let him give it to daddy.

When I got a positive last month I just went downstairs and told him and handed him the test. Nothing out of the ordinary.
However, I'm probably not the best person to ask because I can't stand special announcements.

I had DS bring him the positive test while wearing a Big Brother t-shirt I already had purchased (but that pregnancy ended in miscarriage).

I wanted to with our first, but due to a loss and random test when I suspected I might be preggo, I called for DH while I was still sitting on the toilet. lol!! Sexy!
I'd love to for #2, but not sure I can contain my excitement and plan something cute!

I didn't.. I was just too excited! I knew he'd want to know as soon as I did.

I admit, I've stayed up all night watching pregnancy announcements on youtube lol. I especially love the reactions for twins. I would love to do something cute next time.

Yes! We live in Colorado and I'm going to get a onesie at this local store that says "native."
It is a big deal to be a Colorado native, my husband is, but most people are imports. My hubs will freak out!
Now to just get pregnant... 8 days to test...

I recently found this book that is perfect for him on Amazon so I bought it - when I get a BFP I'll get it out of hiding and tell him I bought him a new book...see how long it takes him to figure it out

I made an "I'm going to be a big sister" shirt with the plan to have LO wear it when he got home from work. But I tested in the morning while he was out walking the dog...... and waiting with the pee stick in my hand on the front porch. LO wasn't awake yet, and I just couldn't wait.

I was way too shocked. I wasn't expecting a BFP at all so I needed him to confirm I wasn't crazy and really was seeing 2 lines. So no, no special announcement lol!

I'm testing this Saturday and plan to get him something like a onesie that features something meaningful to him.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Good luck!!
I have never gotten a BFP, so I'm not sure how it will actually go for me, but I do have a little Chicago Bears onesie tucked away for the announcement. But I think when I actually see two lines...I won't believe it, so I'll make him come look with me!

I did for my first BFP. My husband was actually a little upset that I didn't test with him there. He was kind of miffed that I kept it from him all day and said that although he appreciated the surprise, he really would have liked to of been a part of it. So if I get another one I will wait to test until he is with me.

@duchessdina: I'd like to. We had a frustrating time getting a sticky baby the first time around and so when I got pregnant with her I pretty much just freaked out and yelled it to him. I'd like to be more reserved and creative with #2 but I'm a loudmouth.

I would love to get him something and have him open it on camera. I feel like he will know right away…like as soon as I find out but then I think it would be cute to wait til he gets home from work and have him open a gift bag and inside have:
-book for a dad-to-be that I already purchased
-put a pacifier in the ring box my engagement ring came in
-frame a picture of the BFP
-baby onesies we purchased
-do something with poppy seeds as that would be the size of our growing baby-to-be!
But then again, I feel like he will know the minute I know…lol

We also had a hard time getting our bfp the first time around. I really want to do something fun but don't know if I'll be able to not spit it out the second I see DH.

I had all the intentions of doing something fun, but there's no hiding it for me. I did take the test at night instead of the morning like he thought I was going too, so I had DD come "wash her hands" before dinner and had her bring him the test in the kitchen. He wasn't expecting it at all, so it was special that she delivered the news.

This last time I told him similarly to how he proposed to me, and I recorded it.
