Our nanny is awesome. She's been with us just over 2 months, but I have no complaints, she's great! The only downside is she's $$! Our son's preschool is great, but we're switching him to be closer to our new home.

Yes. We absolutely adore one of her current teachers. I am trying to get her into a school closer to my work for the next year (before K) just for convenience purposes. We'll see if that happens.

Meh - LO1's preschool is supposedly "play-based" but it's a bit too academic for my liking. IMO they don't have enough free play and she comes home with at least 2 worksheets a day (at 3.5!!). Her teacher taught pre-K last year, and I think has sort of unreasonable expectations for this age. But in general I like the staff there, and LO seems happy. I'll probably keep her for the remainder of the year and then switch her next year when LO2 starts and we (hopefully) have bought a house.

Most of the time. It's an in-home daycare and the people are nice, but ever so often something will happen that makes me go "huh, not what I expected." It's nothing dangerous or unsafe, just not how I would have anticipated handling something. It's a good price, in a good neighborhood, and they genuinely care for my little girl.

The only thing I don't like is the price, and the distance from our house (it was on the way to my office from our old apartment). It's not a terrible commute, but we now live 2 miles from my office, and I drive 15-20 minutes (traffic depending) in the opposite direction to get there.
But we love it, and he loves it, so we manage. We might try to find something closer when little miss is ready for daycare, though.

I'm really excited about the school E is going to! And I love T's house for T. But i am less than enchanted with our Friday sitter.

Yes, this is the first time i am very happy with childcare for both kids!
I just wish it weren't so expensive.

We love our school. LO goes to a small Montessori/RIE school a few minutes from home. The space, teachers, parents, and kiddos are amazing ... It's pricey, but actually cheaper per hour than our (not so experienced) nanny was. We are so grateful!

DD1 loves her preschool! It's a wonderful nature preschool. The tuition is a bit expensive and it's further from our house than I would like but totally worth it for us. It might make regular school seem hopelessly boring by the time she starts though.

Before we moved we lived right down the street from a friend who watched DS pretty much any time I needed a babysitter. She's amazing with him and it is the only place he takes a good nap other than at home. Now we live 15-20 min away and I am trying to find something else that will work just as well since I only work part time. No luck yet, so a few days a week we still take him over there.

So far yes. There are few "perks" I wish we have, but at the same time, that's why our rate is lower than other centers in the neighborhood. Things I miss is mainly like daily pictures and more electronically operated/sync'd platforms between parents/teachers.

Yep, can't go wrong with grandparent care! The mom who watches her 2 days a week is also awesome and my daughter and hers are little BFFs it's adorsble!

YES! Xander is soooo happy at daycare and has really thrived there. And they are awesome with Logan too. My only complaint is that they let Logan crawl around in the mud and get all dirty, but really, that's not a complaint because they are taking him outside everyday, which is awesome!

Yes, E loves it, and she keeps him on a much better schedule than I do. 
He's in-home with usually only 2 other kids and he has been soooo much healthier! He brings crafts home already and I get pictures/msg's often with how he's doing.
