And what type of cheese did you start with? Did you mix it in with other foods or serve it on its own?

Our ped said we could introduce dairy at 6 months. We've only done yogurt, but I assume that could mean any dairy. LO's not quite ready for cheese yet.

9 months, I usually shred it so he can practice picking it up. Sometimes in grilled cheeses or quesadillas. Usually I just shred up some cheese and turkey and he goes to town.
He has had pretty much all types, usually we have colby jack on hand. The other night I was out of real cheese, so he got a square of Kraft cheese- go figure, he loved it and ate every single bite (so processed, not something I like to make a habit)!

He's 7.5 months and I just gave him some to try this week. I cut up a little cheddar and he thought it was ok. Not crazy about it, but didn't make barfing sounds like when he hates something.

9 months with DS, we started cutting up cheddar into small pieces and then moved on to string cheese.
