@runnerd: Try not to be sad yet, girl! (easier said than done but...) You're still in the game! Your 'official' test date will be at 11dpo right?

@MRSHONEYBEAR, how are you hanging? We're testing date twins! What DPO will you be that day? I'm 5dpo today, and will be 10dpo on our date
grapefruit / 4311 posts
@Littlebit: 13 DPO is my "official" but I'll be testing every day til then! I have this irrational expectation of BFP on 9 DPO since that's when I got it when my mc. And I'm dramatic

@skipra: thank you, always nice to have a poas buddy. Maybe you can help me refrain from testing too much this month ! Last month I spent a small fortune on tests and couldn't help but buy some any time I was at target. Anyone have luck with the dollar store ones ?
@tundradaisy: I plan on starting acupuncture next week! I'm hoping it helps with my circulation issues. But hey if it helps with fertility too, that's a win win!
@littlebit: any symptoms yet ? I feel like mine are all in my head so far.

@runnerd: 9 DPO is very early. I have my fingers crossed for you!

@Skipra: Thanks!
@littlebit: I'm currently 13dpo, AF expected on Friday or Saturday. I've been testing since 9dpo and all bfns but i do have a longer LP so that's to be expected I guess.

@buttermilk: @littlek: @Littlebit: thanks ladies. I know I'm totally ridiculous and should just step away from the tests!

@Lugrey508: I had success last time with Wondfo's. Never tried Dollar Store but I have heard they work fine too.
@runnerd: It's too early to give up hope! Maybe tomorrow or Thursday will be your lucky day

@runnerd: @pui: I think my phone might have ate my update this weekend, but I'm out for this month. AF showed up at 9DPO, but oh well. I'm not too bummed, because at least I actually did O and the clomid did lengthen my LP. So, progress! Hopefully this month with a stronger dose will work.
@jhd @PEAPIE @sweetkeight OMG, so many congrats ladies!!!!!!
I'm traveling a lot over the next two weeks and won't be able to keep up as well with this thread, but all my fingers and toes are crossed super tight for everyone with upcomng POAS dates!
eggplant / 11408 posts
@runnerd: I refuse to give up on you. Step away from the wondfos. You so know that you're not out yet!!! FWIW, I never got a BFP before 10 DPO, and even then, it was an evap.
bananas / 9899 posts
@Sprite: Oh no!! So sorry to hear about that. At least Clomid helped!
I had a short LP last cycle on Clomid. I hope this cycle shows an improvement there...
grapefruit / 4311 posts
@Sprite: ahhh blah!!! But that is really great that LP lengthened and just means you are going into sept strong!!

@Sprite: I'm sorry But the good news is your Oing and your LP is lengthening! Enjoy your travels-see you when you get back!

I've been conducting a test in the name of helpful lessening-the-crazy science.
So, at 9dpo, I took a wondfo (that supposedly has a sensitivity of 10mlu) and got a BFN. Took an FRER that same morning and got a BFP (later to be followed by a Clearblue Digi that was also positive.) Since then (I'm only at 11dpo, but I'm going to keep this up in the name of 'science'), I've taken a wondfo both morning and night and am still getting BFNs. Blood test yesterday confirmed that my hcg/beta was at 34. So, surely high enough to register something. I'm also taking the last of my other brands: Answer, FRER, CB Digi - and continuing to get positives. I know some say that wondfos just don't work for them and it looks like I'm one of them. I have two different batches of wondfos, and both return negatives, so I don't think it's the batch.
The whole experiment is not very scientific, but there it is.
Also - my chart is not pretty at all when it comes to temps - I had a dip the day I got my BFP, and my temps continue to be weird. So, I'd say with temps: above the coverline is awesome, and still, you're not out til you're out!
I hope that helps someone else. I know it's not usually best to continue to test after a bfp, but I'm waiting on another beta, and just had to do something!
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@sweetkeight: Wow that is really odd they just dont work for you, but I think your "experiment" does prove your point. I was able to get a faint line on my wondfos at 8dpo.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@sweetkeight: Hmm, that's weird. Are you testing in the name of science or because you like to POAS? I drove my DH NUTS testing after we got our BFP. He thought I was a crazy woman.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
Has anyone else's DH wondered what would happen if they POAS? My DH was like "maybe I should POAS, what do you think would show up?" I looked at him like he was crazy and said "NOTHING." I think he was jealous... LOL

@Lugrey508: None so far. The other day I had one of my favorite candy bars ever and I just couldn't eat it...it didn't taste right! But, I had something similar last month around the same time and I got a BFN..so maybe there was something wrong with the candy bar? I'm trying to stay relaxed this time around...of course that's not working! But I haven't really had any symptoms to obsess over! What are yours so far?
nectarine / 2932 posts
@runnerd: hey, we're all poas addicts, so we understand the urge to test...just try not to get bummed too soon! Hang in there! I am really hoping this is your month! We've had a lot of BFPs this month...hopefully another is yours!
nectarine / 2086 posts
@littlebit: @runnerd: part of me is excited that if I don't get a bfp this month, I'm going to treat myself to my very first batch of wondfos so I can POAS even more next cycle!
cherry / 202 posts
@littlebit: nothing yet for me. Last month I over analyzed every little thing ... I'm trying the same approach as you trying to stay relaxed and patient . Easy to say on day 4 let's see how long it lasts!
persimmon / 1141 posts
@buttermilk: I had a dip in temps on 8 and 9 dpo and thought for sure I was out. however, temps started to rise the next few days and I ended up getting a bfp. so maybe you had a pseudo-implantation dip (since usually dips are characterized by one big dip, although mine was over the course of two days before rising back up). i think this is what a triphasic chart looks like?? you're not out till you're out!
@sweetkeight: how many dpo are you currently - 11?? i took a wondfo at 7 and 9 dpo and they were BFNs. I didn't use a frer as a second resource because I didn't want to waste it and see another bfn. I tested again at 11dpo and finally got a VERY faint squinter, but it took a while for it to show up. i almost threw it out after 2-3 minutes because it was stark white. i wouldn't worry about it! everyone's levels are different - even if yours doesn't show up now, as long as levels double consistently, you are fine.
also, i heard that if you conceive with a girl, you have higher levels of hcg quicker than if you conceive a boy. did anyone else hear this? we should do a poll - at what dpo did you get your bfp, and did you conceive with a girl or a boy?! haha

Need theories from all of you experts
I'm at 6dpo and my temp dipped waaaay below my coverline pretty much to pre O temps: 1) Is this an implantation dip? or 2) Secondary estrogen surge?
Anyone get a huge temp dip this early and still get a BFP? I usually have a 14 day luteal phase. I'm sure my temps will go back up tomorrow but have never seen a dip this big in any of my charts.
nectarine / 2086 posts
@AlmostMrsG: I would think that if your LP is 14 days then that must mean your dip is more likely implantation! Let us know if it goes back up tomw!
nectarine / 2086 posts
@SupernovaJ: thank you! I'm still keeping a glimmer of hope but trying to be realistic too. Tomorrow I bet I'll know for sure what's up!

@Littlebit: Funny you say that about the candy bar. I am a big time chocoholic and especially before AF (DH actually calls it "brownie time" because I have been known to polish off a whole tray). I keep Dove chocolates in my desk and have 1 or 2 everyday and had one before it tasted bland. Also yesterday at the store with DH he picked up a bag of peanut M&Ms for me and I said no thanks. I could just be going totally crazy but I have never turned down peanut M&Ms in my life!
nectarine / 2086 posts
@littlebit: @mrsog:
Even though I'm sure AF is just around the corner, I'll play along too...
Since Saturday (10dpo) everytime I've started to drink a little beer or wine, I get a massive headache. As if I'm more easily dehydrated. I have to drink a bunch of water after then it goes away. And even tho I've wanted to finish the drink I haven't been able to! Maybe it's that baby in there!
bananas / 9229 posts
@AlmostMrsG: It could be implantation! 6DPO is definitely not a start of AF (unless you have O wrong)... The annoying part now is that you have to wait and see how tomorrow's temp is! Let us know!!
