DD has started this new thing in the past little while (a couple weeks, but it's gotten much worse over the last couple days) where she pulls a LOT at the breast. She pulls and twists with her head and pushes the boob away with her hands while still latched - OUCH!
This usually happens about 10 minutes into a feed, so I suspect it has to do with the flow slowing down. I asked my LC about it a couple weeks ago and she advised to switch sides when this happens. I've been doing that, but now it seems to happen so frequently and aggressively that I feel like I will be constantly switching sides. I've been concerend that it's resulting in her not getting enough, but she's still producing plenty of diapers, so evidently that's not an issue...I hope.
Any other tips on how to deal with this? If I switch sides once and she starts doing it again on the second side, should I switch back to the first side? Also, typically I pump a couple times a day; I would usually feed on one side and then pump the other side....how should I manage pumping now?
