It seems like all that I ask about lately is nursing advice but that's been the biggest issue we've had and continued to have with our little guy

A little background: I've always had pain while breastfeeding and our latest issue (went to see another LC last Friday) is apparently vasospasms caused by Elliot clamping down really hard which the LC suspected is caused by a forceful letdown on my part.

Before last Friday Elliot was nursing well- I was just in a lot of pain. As of Friday night though we have a whole new problem. When it's time to eat and I try to put e to the breast he'll latch on and almost immediately come off screaming. He'll continue to scream if I try to relatch him. If I try to give him a bottle with pumped milk he takes it and sucks it down immediately.

Since he takes the bottle I don't think sucking is causing him pain. This only started last Friday so I don't think it's completely because of my letdown. If it was wouldn't it have manifested sooner?

I put him to the breast at every feeding. I try switching positions, I've tried pumping for a minute or two first to avoid the letdown issue, I burp him. I just don't know what's wrong and it seems like every feeding is a 45 minute screaming fest/fight that ends with me giving in and giving him pumped milk from a bottle. Since Friday we've had 2 or 3 really good feeding where he's stayed at the breast. I'm really stressed out and terrified of how this is affecting my supply Does anyone have any advice?
