Okay, I know this sounds crazy and I feel like there is no way this is even possible, but I swear F seems like he just doesn't like milk (we've tried several different kinds of formula-same results). Please tell me someone else's baby just seems/ed to dislike milk/bottles and that I'm not alone on this. How the heck does a baby NOT like bottles???

He will eat some of his bottle, but it is a huge fight to get him to eat anywhere close to enough for a 7 1/2-month old. He'll drink 3 or 4 ounces, and then the battle is on to get anymore down him. It doesn't matter how often he gets bottles, he still will only take a few ounces, and then fights it. It's not reflux (he had it, but is off meds and doing great now). He doesn't act like he's in pain, he just doesn't seem to want milk.

BUT, he LOOOOVES all solid foods. The kid is like a little bird that will gobble up as much purees as we will give him. Right now, he's only getting 1-2 rounds of solids per day, depending on how tired he is in the evening. He either gets them in between bottles or at bottle time with a smaller bottle.

Here's my conundrum: I know that the first year, the majority of nutrition should come from milk/formula, but it's such a struggle to get him to eat anywhere close to enough milk. If we didn't push the bottle so much, he would probably only eat 12-18 ounces a day. I know he would happily eat a lot more solids if we gave him more opportunity.

If you had a LO who fought bottles but loved solids, what would you do? Would you just increase the amount of solids and let him take however much formula he'll eat without fighting it so much, or would you keep the solids limited and push through the bottle battles?? I'm happy to hear from anyone in the medical profession that wants to weigh in as well.

This turned into a super long post-sorry about that!
