Ugh.
DS will be 3m on Sunday. EBF.
His sleep is getting worse and worse, his sleep through the night has never been great, good at times, but certainly never consistent. We loosely follow EASY through the day with no issues. Earlier days his sleep was decent, sometimes giving me a 4-5 hour stretch through the first part of the night.
We try for bedtime between 8 and 8:30. Somedays depending on when he wakes from his last nap of the day he doesn't make it to 8, other times, he stretches til 9. He goes down tough, usually nurse to sleep, but then end up back in his room (he has been in crib since 7w) to give him paci 1-3 times to officially get him down for the night.
Each night is different, some nights we get a decent stretch, then after that stretch it's every hour. Other nights it's multiple wakings consistently 1-2 hours apart through the night.
My DDs was bedtime at 8pm, wake at 4am/nurse, then up for day at 7am by this age. I knowww I can't compare, but this is awful. I can handle multiple wakings, but the lack of consistency in the timings are killing me. I have tried giving him paci to stretch out to 3 hours between nursing (like he does through the day with ease), but it results in more wakings and unsettledness that ends up with me in there more often so I just cave and nurse.
We have had him in sleep sack for the most part, then things went downhill 2-3w ago so I went to the swaddle (he didn't like the swaddle at all from birth), then he began rolling and we have been doing a split of swaddle wedged to stay on his back (know I can't do that forever and don't want to) and/or sleep sack with socks on his hands because he swats himself.
I am in the process of getting a magic sleep suit second hand, picking up this weekend, does anyone have any tips or ideas (open to anything else!!) I could try?
I realize this is likely a wait things out and let more time pass, but am just reaching out for any tips that could help us. I do hope/intend to sleep train in another 2 months or so.
