This is such a minor item, but I'm torn!

Or:
It probably really doesn't matter! But what one do you have / did you register for?

I have the grass lawn!!! I'm not sure how good it is if you bottle feed though. I like my grass looking empty, so a cluttered area would drive me a little nuts.
I bought this for SIL. It's cute

I had the first years and thought it was really ugly and unstable. I ended up tossing it and getting the grass.

I had both. It really matters how much you'll be bottlefeeding. The First Years holds A LOT, which is great if you're going to be washing a lot of pump parts and bottles. The Boon doesn't hold as much, but is definitely much nicer to look at!
Ultimately I gave my boon away to a friend and use the first years. Olive gets 4 bottles a day + my 2 pumping sets don't all fit on the boon.

I got the first year as a gift. I haven't used it, but it seemed more practical than the Boon. Although, I agree that with Mrs. Bee the Boon is much cuter!

I have the grass lawn too! I totally love it. I plan on buying the flower stems and twigs that you stick in the grass to dry the nipples and small bottle parts. Too cute!!

LOL, I think the boon is so cute! But wonder if it's practical. Not a huge investment either way, I guess ; )

@winniebee: you may wanna get the lawn. it's bigger!
admin / watermelon / 14210 posts
with the flowers and the twigs, it's too cute to resist! i could probably use the lawn this time around, but with charlie since i exclusively pumped, i needed a bottle rack that could hold a lot.

@chopsuey119: I know right? So cute! I actually use it for more than just drying baby things. I bought 4 of them to put along the wall on my counter and use it to dry small tupperwares, LO's spoons and bowls and cups. Multipurpose! lol

@banana: totally adorable. i'm gonna buy some now!!!!!!!!! i don't use my grass (since i don't bottle feed). it's nice having some green on my counter though i'll use it for baby #2.

@banana: I literally JUST received the Boon Grass yesterday in the mail as a gift! I had no idea you could add a stem or twig, so darn cute! I love it!

I would prefer something lie the spinning rack but there are different versions of that made by different companies and I cant tell which is better. I dont like the grass one. Its just weird to, and I worry it would trap dust in there.
Also I saw the grass rack in the store and its quite small

@winniebee: So cute! I love baby items that are nicely designed and functional. Our house becomes so cluttered with "babyish" things that it's nice to be able to buy something that's nice to look at!
@amohror: Oh yay! Glad you received it as a gift. I had to buy all of mine but it was worth it for me. My LO uses one of the grass lawns to park his cars and hold his crayons. I inserted some ABC flashcards in the grass hoping it would teach him something. hehehe

We bought a cheap $2 thing that works fine. But I think the grass is super cute.

We never used a bottle drying rack. I would wash the bottles, put them in the sterilizer and then just put them in between towels to dry. The towels would then get washed as part of my son's laundry.
I love the grass, but not sure if it's really practical.

I have the grass and am so buying the stem and twigs for it now!

@Boogs: Where are you planning on purchasing the stem?! I've only found one place so far so I'm curious
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@aMohror: So far it only looks like Boon sells them, but they aren't available yet. Where is the place you found?

I haven't been able to find them either. If anyone is able to locate them, please share!

@Boogs: @banana: I found them at comfortfirst.com Only one of them is in stock right now though. I just searched Boon Grass Stem in google and found it

I've never used The First Years one, so I can't speak about how it works but I absolutely LOVE The Boon Grass one!!!!

I love our Boon Grass one (they also make a Lawn which is a bigger version). I just got a "stem" for it. It's this flower attachment that you can place in the grass and provides extra storage space. I LOVE it for holding my small pump parts and they don't get lost in the grass. They also make a "twig" which would be great for drying bottle parts.

i registered for the first one. although the grass is cute, i can just imagine how nasty the bottom of the grass would get with all the water and potentially mold growing....
grapefruit / 4681 posts
@tequiero21: the grass lifts out of the white part and the water can drip off. There are holes in the bottom of the turf for it to run off into the tray. I thought the same thing when I first saw the product.
honeydew / 7968 posts
@anbanan15: ahhh gotcha. i'll probably need the first one anyway since i'm having twins - probably will use more bottles? lol.
