I bought the Medela one but the store forgot to remove the security tag and it ran small so I returned it. I went to amazon to order another and the Medela one had bad reviews. Any brands to consider or avoid?

I had a Pump Ease which I liked. I also had one from simple wishes which didn't work out for me.

Simple Wishes ordered from Amazon. I have no cons. It does the job.
ETA: it's also extremely adjustable, great for PP boobs

I just got the freemie. The real power is the collection cups which go I your bra. The pump itself has very little gusto. If I had a nice medela I would just get the cups.

Honestly, I gave up, bought a cheap sports bra, cut holes by the nipples and wear it under my nursing bra at work so I don't have to completely switch bras. You can't tell (which is why I still wear my regular bra so I don't have the sports bra squished boobs look) and it works a million times better for literally $5. Best (and admittedly weirdest) thing I ever did.

I had a simple wishes that i liked and a Dairy Fairy bra which is a nursing bra and pumping bra combined that came in handy when i pumped in my car or on planes.

Simple wishes worked great for me. Now I prefer freemie cups so I can just tuck the cups into whatever bra or nursing tank I'm wearing, and not have to change bras

I have the medela and it does the job but I hate putting it on! I just got the simple wishes one that is a pumping/regular bra in general and I love that I don't have to put it on and push all my other bra and tank top down!

I have a simple wishes and a pump ease both do the job but I prefer the simple wishes because it zips it's quicker to put on

Medela sucked. Simple wishes is so much easier to get on and support the bottles when they get full.

I got a free simple wishes one. I really liked it. I just pulled down my nursing bra/tank and put the pumping bra on.

I have the Simple Wishes one but never use it. I just tuck the flanges into the cups of an underwire nursing bra (with lightly shaped cups) and it works fine as long as I am sitting still. With DD#1, I pumped that way at work for 9 months.

I had the Simple Wishes one and didn't love it. I had a really hard time doing compressions/massage in it, which is how I got the most milk. I'm not sure how much better the other brands are for that, though.

I have the Simple Wishes one and have absolutely no complaints! I should've ordered two in the first place so one can go in the laundry!

Okay, just used it for the first time and I leaked a little out of the bottom. Is the bra too loose? Am I sitting in the wrong position?

Another vote for Simple Wishes, love that thing. I have 2 (replaced my first one when the Velcro started to go out.) I tried Medela but didn't like it.

@LindsayInNY: you want it to be pretty darn snug. But did you leak while pumping or while taking it off? I always had some milk bead up on the edge of the flanges and drip off when I took them off my boobs, so I had to lean forward so it would run in rather than out (hopefully my description makes sense). If it's leaking while you're pumping, you most likely just need to adjust the flanges to make sure they are tight to your boobs.
Also -- the elastic on the bra will stretch over time, so don't be surprised if it starts feeling loose and you have to adjust it to tighten it up. I think I had to do that every couple weeks.

@LindsayInNY: I pumped better when I took out the middle zip panel in the front!

@LindsayInNY: Ditto what @PurplePeony: said. If you're leaking while pumping, that sounds like a pump issues. But to remove the flanges once you're done, I definitely lean over a sink and try to til the flanges so the excess milk falls into the flange rather than just out. And while wearing the bra, I have it pretty tight, so my boobs are fairly squished! But it works great.

@PurplePeony: Not sure? I assumed while pumping but maybe not? I'll try leaning forward when I remove it next time though, in case that was the issue.

@autumnlove: I pump better with the middle panel lol. I felt like without the middle panel the holes didn't align well with my nipples.
@LindsayInNY: play around with the fit. The bra should be tight and should be able to hold up with flanges without you holding them. In the early days as I became less engorged I had to readjust the fit a few times.
