Hi all! Thank you all so much for the good wishes on Friday and for remembering. You are all so supportive and love you for it so much
Surgery went a bit unexpectedly, but went well. I couldn't be more pleased with my RE and more angry at my previous doc. It's safe to say I will not be going back there to deliver should I get pregnant and carry to term again.
My RE found that my entire uterus was covered in scar tissue and fossilized placenta from previous miscarriages. Turns out that my OB did NOT get everything from my D&Cs and that firmly implanted itself within my uterus and had scar tissue form on top of it. Because of this, she had to really take a lot of tissue out. And to prevent my walls from closing in on themselves again and developing more scar tissue, she put a balloon filled with saline in. Talk about uncomfortable! That comes out on Wednesday, and Wednesday can't come soon enough.
My RE was great with my DH. Explained everything so well and took photos before, during and after to help him see what she found. For now, we're going to see how I heal and then follow up on Wednesday once they take out the balloon.
As for my old doc...seriously? I'm just even more angry that he kept feeding me the line of "you're really just having bad luck." BS...we could have started this process so much earlier and it might not have been so bad had I gone to my RE sooner. It just infuriates me that he put my life in danger by not getting everything and then pretty much telling me that it was normal for me to bleed for 6 and 8 weeks post-D&C respectively. So I'm still coming down from that.
I'm definitely more excited than ever to move forward with my RE. I know we still have a long road ahead, but feeling far better about our plan. Thank you again for listening...especially through this long winded post.

@2PeasinaPod: Wow! I'm glad you got really good care and that they were able to figure out what was wrong AND correct it! I hope that makes your long road ahead a little bit shorter.

@2PeasinaPod: so glad you got some news !! How uncomfortable does that feel- the balloon ? Id image it would feel like a pressure near your bladder making it feel like you need to pee

@HappyBluebird: Thank you! How are you doing? Feeling any better?
@jaguar: I'm praying for you and your little cherub.
@Jess1483: Seriously want to drop kick my old doctor.
@mrs bunchy: Seriously uncomfortable! It's not so bad today, but the last few days felt like everything was being pushed up and into my stomach...very bloated and just icky. I hope no one else has to go through this!

@mrs bunchy: How have you been?
@MaryM: Yay! Hopefully the TWW flies by.
@jaguar: I know you know this, but I feel the same way. I am just trying to take my mind off of it and not think about it too much. It's so hard, but there has to be another side to this, right? Many hugs.

@simplyfelicity: Hope so. My worst fear is just recurrent losses now. How are you?

@jaguar: I'm okay. Just chugging along and trying to not think too much (not an easy thing for me!) Maybe sometimes ignorance is bliss.

@simplyfelicity: I think you're right. I almost wish I hadn't done more than one pee stick, or had bloods.

@MaryM: Did DH end up going to the doctor for his snoring? Did they give him a solution? We have this same problem in our household and it's been the subject of many fights. I have to go to sleep before DH (and we can't cuddle) because the snoring is so bad. It's the worst!!!
@2PeasinaPod: Dear God. I'm glad they got everything out and I hope and pray for your continued recovery and that Wednesday goes smoothly. I'm so sorry for what you're going through!!! If you don't mind me asking, what led you to go to the RE? Did you have to wait a long time or get a referral or anything? Since I also bled for 8 weeks after my d&e, I'm wondering if I should be looking into it.....
@HappyBluebird: you're so close - FX that next time they're negative. I know the wait is horrible, trust me. Hugs!
@FliegepilzHut: Thanks for sharing the lyrics - I love that song, and totally get the same feeling!
@simplyfelicity: Did I totally miss your 30th? Poo! Happy belated! That's an AWESOME gift from your hubby!!!! Hope it's amazing!
@jaguar: All the FX in the world for you We are all here for you no matter what happens, but I have a good feeling about this for you!! When do you get the results of the second draw?
Sorry I haven't been around. Just been chugging along, waiting, waiting, waiting for the next O, next TWW, next everything. I wish I could just enjoy the present moment, but it's too hard still.
Has everyone joined the FB page that wants to? I am going to make it a "secret" board today, so if you want to join and haven't, you can wall me your FB info/name and I will add you.

@FliegepilzHut: @simplyfelicity: @travelgirl1: Thank you!
@ValentineMommy: I had 2 miscarriages before my son and 2 after. By the 3rd, my OB was still telling me that I was just having bad luck b/c I had my son in between. He said their practice wouldn't send anyone to a RE until they had 3 in a row. When I was in his office for my 4th, I told him that I was going and would do my own research whether he was willing to refer or not, b/c 4 out of 5 pregnancies ending in miscarriage is NOT normal. He still protested and reluctantly gave me my RE's name and insisted that she wouldn't find anything...but if it "made me feel better" then to go. I should mail him the pictures my RE took of my uterus covered in scar tissue. Jerk.
To help ease your fears a little...my first miscarriage, I had a D&C. I bled for 6 weeks. Then I had a chemical 3 months later (bled for about a week and a half), and then finally got pregnant with my son 2 months later. I had a C-section with my son which my RE said shouldn't have had too much of an effect on my scarring as the incision looked clean and relatively clear of scar tissue considering the state of the rest of my uterus. I then got pregnant when my son was 10 months old and had to have another D&C at that time...and that's when I bled for 8 weeks. My last miscarriage was also a chemical, and I only bled for a week then...like a normal period.
Hoping you get your sticky baby soon...definitely give it a few more months, but trust your gut when something doesn't feel right

@ValentineMommy: YES! DH will be picking up a machine on Thursday for an at home sleep test. I guess based on those results they may do more testing.

@MaryM: Thank goodness. I would PAY dh to do this at this point lol.....he still wont.

@ValentineMommy: For my DH, it had to get to the point where HE was exhausted. The thing that pissed me off the most was that it didn't matter how tired I would be...

@2PeasinaPod: Thanks for checking on me! I'm feeling good today and I'm feeling positive! Will be going again tomorrow to have my levels checked again, hoping for negative but I'm not going to let myself get my hopes too high. Just focusing on the fact that my levels are dropping pretty quickly all things considered!
@ValentineMommy: Thanks for the good luck!
@MaryM: Hopefully you and DH are on your way to a great nights sleep soon!
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@jaguar: It totally depends on your personality. Some people feel more anxiety not knowing their hcg levels or if their htps are getting darker. I don't think I am one of those people...it just gives me more to obsess over.
Really really hoping you get some great numbers today.
pomelo / 5129 posts
@simplyfelicity: I saw your thread late last night about betas but didn't have the chance to respond.
I think it's probably smart for you to wait and see. If you get so anxious over the not knowing, then maybe consider getting them. But I feel like I would obsess MORE over the first HCG level than I would over not knowing anything at all.
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@MaryM: I completely agree! My doctor gave me the referral so I seriously considered it but I think it could just cause some undue stress and nothing could be determined until an ultrasound anyway. I read a doctor's opinions on betas (webmd) and it said to not worry about them unless you really need to get your levels done (excessive bleeding etc.) I am going to throw the referrals away.

@MaryM: Exactly! Our sleep matters too!!
Prayers that @HappyBluebird's levels are going down and @jaguar's are going up!!!

@ValentineMommy: Thanks!
Yes I would gladly pass my levels onto @jaguar if I could!! Fingers crossed they are going up and mine are going down!

@simplyfelicity: I have been okay! Just taking it one day at a time. Will most likely be starting BC next cycle to prepare for my hysteroscopy. How are you feeling?

@mrs bunchy: @2PeasinaPod: Did you ladies want to join to fb group?

@2PeasinaPod: we're thinking end of December- before Christmas. My next cycke should start at the beginning of November and I have to be on BC for at least 4 weeks!! It's hard to not do it I guess... I mean- I have been pregnant 3x but have lost them all. All my bloodwork is normal, and DH has stellar labs in his behalf. Only thing were thinking now is a septum.. Boo!
@ValentineMommy: I am probably the only 27 yr old on the planet that no longer has a facebook haven't had it in 7 years!!
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@mrs bunchy: Not too bad, just trying to take everything in stride. I am, of course, nervous about a third loss.
Wishing you all the best in the future and hoping we get to hear some wonderful news from you very soon.

@ValentineMommy: Thanks hon. Had bloods done this morning, but chances are I'll have to wait til tomorrow to find out the results ... but I'll ring the GP this arvo just in case! I've just wall-ed you for the FB group.
@simplyfelicity: I hope so too. I've thrown all the pee sticks away... just need to pray now. No news yet. Just having some faith.
@HappyBluebird: Oh, bless. I would GLADLY take your levels away from you! xxx *hugs*

@jaguar: Good, I hope you find some peace away from the tests.

@mrs bunchy: Being on the birth control was really hard for me. I had been off for over 7 years, and when I came off, it was really hard on my body. My cycle didn't come back for 3 months, I lost 20 pounds and my hair started to fall out. When I went back on for a month and a half, I was a crazy woman. And it seems so counterproductive to be on birth control when you're trying to have a baby! But I understand their reasoning. I hope the next few weeks fly by for you!
@jaguar: Stick baby J! Stick!
