@aprk: nice i tried to use the cover in the beginning but found it so annoying and so did L, so i finally yanked it off and haven't cared since - unless I'm in a situation where i feel more modest than usual, like when i went for a coffee recently and was sitting at the same table and directly across from a man i didn't know (was one of those long shared tables)

@Aprk; Yay! It only gets easier (and, if you ask me, more fun!). And most people are so nice and supportive about it.

Nice job!! I have only done with the cover. DH is even uncomfortable with that, wierdo!

@Smurfette: before the baby got here my husband was definitely wary of me doing it in public, especially without a cover, but now he's all "do what you gotta do!"

I've done with and without the cover. It depends on who's around and how close quarters I'm in!

Go you!!!!
There are still a few place I get a bit apprehensive about, but for the most part we NIP whenever/however (I've NEVER seen a bf'ing mom in public here & only know a handful of moms that bf'd at all)

@Smurfette: my Dh is the same, which is funny because his mom was a LLL consultant & describes herself as "militant" about breastfeeding. Or maybe that is why, lol.
I feel like I'm doing something bold when I nurse in public WITH a cover - I can't imagine doing it without (unless w family or girlfriends). You GO girls! I wish I was bolder.

I have yet BF at all in public. That is awesome that you did it without a cover!!

Woohoo! Go you! I've never felt comfortable nursing in public with out a cover. Now it seems even harder to do with the distracted nursing.

I don't think I could do it like in a crowded area at least, but I guess I'll have to wait and see if I bf next time. Do what works, go you!

@googly-eyes: the crowd made me feel more "protected" actually, even though I was off to the side. So much to look at other than us, you know?

@Smurfette: my DH is the same way!!! Although I get so nervous, I don't think I could do it either!!
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
@aprk: I never thought of that! I guess because honestly I've only seen people out with covers that there would be a lot of stares without one in a crowded place. Messing around with nursing covers in the summer sounds like a pita.

Awesome! I breastfed LO in O'Hare airport. LO's not fond of the cover, so he kicked it off. It made a fellow traveler laugh about how silly he is.
