My 21 month-old wonderful son transitioned really well to a toddler bed about 2 weeks ago. And then it all went to hell... Now he's up 2-3 times a night. For awhile, it was clear he was sad or scared, and I'd go to him and sit on the edge of his bed until he fell asleep (sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 20). I think I've created a monster, though. Now he will come get me, pull me back to his room, and then lay down before I even get to his room. He's certainly capable of putting himself back to sleep, but I'm sure I ruined it. I don't want to gate him in his room, although I suppose I could do that. And I'd really prefer not to back-track to the crib, although if we get desperate, we might.
Anyone else go through a similar stage with this transition? He's doing well falling asleep alone at night, but not in the middle of the night. Happy to take any suggestion!
