I also went to see my mom's GP. She couldn't believe it and even before I asked she told me to see someone else. I hope I can see an ob that works part time in her practice, but as she works part time she wasn't in today. She will be there on Monday and the GP will talk to her so that she will see me. I hope that works out.

@lil owl: I'm so glad to hear that you are pregnant! Will you be able to see a different OB? There is no way I would be able to trust her at all after this.

@lil owl: Such great news! Thank goodness you trusted your gut!

@lil owl: I'm so happy for the good news! Hope everything goes well on Monday!!! How far along does the scan say you are? Does it line up with what you thought?

This is AWESOME! And like others have said, thank goodness you trusted your gut. I really hope you can get a new OB, I would not trust your old one.

congrats! i'm really sorry for the rough start your OB put you through. her behavior on this has been pretty horrible. i agree with switching, and hope you find someone fabulous who guides you through a happy and healthy 9 months!

@Mrs. J: it still makes me mad that she told me neither the # of the last blood test nor how far along I am. I asked. She simply ignored me. I had to make another appointment (on the 22) but I won't go. I hope I have a better ob till then...

@lil owl: I'm so mad at her for you!! What a ... I can't even find the right word!!! Where's the really angry emoji?!

@lil owl: That's really exciting!! Congraulations!
I'm glad that you have found some resolution and it's the good kind! I hope you are able to find a new OB, because it sounds like 9 months of them will be no fun. Thinking of you.

@lil owl: So glad things are still going well, despite your moron OB! It makes me so angry! Definitely good for you for looking for someone else. Is there anywhere online you can leave reviews for this OB or anything? And/or a supervisor of hers that you can talk to? There should be repercussions for her treating you so horribly!

@lil owl: Congratulations on the good news and good call on trusting your maternal instincts! Good luck and hope you can find a new OB ASAP. I would question the level of care I am getting since she sounds like she has awful bedside manners!

I've been following along though I haven't commented yet...Congrats on your pregnancy! And wtf is the deal with that doctor? Just unacceptable, sorry you've had to go through that

@lil owl: love this update! Have a beautiful healthy pregnancy!
i want to smack your OB upside the head though. I hope you plan to report her somewhere and give her low grades on sites. She's horrible and I wonder how many healthy pregnancies she has jeapordized or worse in this way.

@lil owl: I am really confused why your OB is so hell bent on something being wrong with you or the pregnancy not being viable? You had red bleeding, that's it...correct? It is not really all that uncommon for people to have red bleeding and still have a successful pregnancy. I had red spotting and things have gone well so far otherwise (14 weeks). A friend of mine had gushing red blood early on and still had a successful pregnancy... in her case, they do believe she lost one twin. I could understand being concerned and saying something like, "we will have to wait and see," but pushing a D&C, withholding information about your labs, and insisting that something is wrong, is just ridiculous. I hope you will be able to find a new doc ASAP. Have you let your MW know how the appointment went today? I hope someone can see you very soon. What were you able to see on the u/s? Could you see the sack? Fetal pole? It might still be early yet for the fetal pole...

Congrats!! I've been following along but haven't commented. I'm so glad that everything is looking ok! I would ditch that OB though. You should not have had to deal with all of that.

@lil owl: Congratulations and I agree with PPs about finding someone who you can lodge a complaint with. None of these interactions have been appropriate or professional.

Just a quick update: I went to see the other ob today, and she's ok. Maybe a bit cold but friendly enough.
I have to go again tomorrow for blood.
She did an ultrasound and told me my dates line up perfectly I'm 6 weeks 6 days. It seems to be a completely normal pregnancy.
I will continue seeing her.
Thanks so much for all of your support!!!

@lil owl: Great news!! I would definitely keep seeing this new Ob. Who cares if she's a bit cold! She's not there to be your BFF, just a really good doctor and it seems like she's got that under control!

Wow I'm so happy for you (and so pissed at your first OB who would have ended a healthy pregnancy!) She should lose her license for malpractice!

I am so glad you stuck to your guns and didn't get the d&c! So wonderful to hear everything is going well, though I would have trouble trusting that OB anymore.

@lil owl: Yay!! Might be strange to say since I don't actually know you, but I've been thinking of you and hoping you were doing well!

@Kimberlybee: Thank you so much! I'm so sorry for not responding sooner!
First of: baby is still there. Kicking like crazy.
But: four times I bled severely, once I even lost parts of the placenta. I had on and off light bleeding. And the last few weeks I've been having painful contractions. My cervix shortened and the ob is scared I could deliver any day now (I'm 33 weeks)
oh, and I'm suffering from HG again
All the meds are making me so sleepy and I feel like my brain is not working properly. I'm sorry if none of this makes any sense...

@lil owl: I don't know you but I just said a prayer for you and your unborn child. Xoxo
I hope everything turns out okay for you and that baby!!!!
