Any recommendations for a booster seat for a fully upholstered dining chair? I want something that won't put an indentation in the seat cushion, so I was thinking one of those solid foam seats that you just place on top of the chair, but I don't think it will be easy to climb into. Do I need to just buy a separate solid dining chair to attach a real booster seat onto?

@mrs. wagon: I think with the weight of the baby sitting on it, any booster seat will leave an impression. so you might have to get another plain wood chair

Hmmm well we just ordered the Prince Lionheart one and have padded seats. I can let you know but I figure anything will leave indentations, alas.

You could try putting a towel between the seat and the chair. It would probably absorb the hard edges pretty well. That's what my folks do, though their chairs aren't chushy upholstery.

You could try the Kaboost, it raises the chair legs.

@looch: I just saw that!! interesting.. I wonder how that would do with him climbing up into the chair.

@merryc: we have a towel under our booster seat and it still leaves marks on the upholstered seat
@Mrs.Wagon: I'd suggest an all wooden chair because kids spill and the upholster will get stained; ours does even with the towel under the seat

We use a Cooshie foam booster and my DD generally gets up by herself but sometimes needs a little help!

@purrpletulips: I just pointed this out to Wagon Sr. and said "never mind, let's just all eat on the floor..." Seriously though, I am tempted to.
