The food at Ohana was great. I also liked the place in Norway at Epcot with the princesses.

I love Liberty Tree Tavern at MK, Sci-Fi Dine-In at HS, Le Cellier and Biergarten at Epcot, Tusker House at AK, Raglan Road at DTD, Ohana Breakfast at the Poly..... Ahhh I have so many favourites!

I'm trying to decide right now between Minnie's character buffet and Hollywood and Vine versus the Brown Derby. 2 kids, 2 parents, 2 grandparents.
Also possibly booking something for dinner at MK. If we dont do character dinner at HS maybe do something at MK?

California Grill in the Contemporary Resort for fine dining - go when you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks in the evening. I also love the Mexican restaurant in Epcot.

Oh! Disney! My favorite topic! We are Florida residents and annual passholders (well, we didn't get passes this year since we have a new baby, but we have been for several years). We usually don't eat sit-down meals because I'm cheap and sit down meals are expensive at Disney. So here are my favorites for snacks/counter service meals!
Magic Kingdom:
- best snack ever, DOLE WHIP - it's a pineapple soft serve. So gooood. I get this every time I am at Magic Kingdom.
- my favorite counter service is Columbia Harbor House in Fantasyland/Liberty Square. They have fried fish/shrimp but I usually get a salad, which are really good. They also have a hummus and broccoli slaw sandwich that I really like. Take your food and sit upstairs - it is air conditioned and you're in a little alcove overlooking Fantasyland. Great to people watch!
- Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square: not really a full restaurant, more snacks, but they have ice cream cookie sandwiches, and different kinds of waffle sandwiches (one is spicy chicken, but they have one that's Nutella and fruit yummmm).
Epcot:
- Sunshine Seasons at the Land Pavilion. Lots of different kind of food (the grilled salmon, or rotisserie chicken) - all fresh stuff with veggies, etc. I think possibly best counter service in WDW.
- Tangerine Cafe: the counter service in Morocco. Super tasty Middle Eastern food, a little pricey for a quick service but the plates are large enough to split.
- In France: the kiosks with crepes and the frozen slushy drinks (Grand Marnier slushy and lemon vodka slushy!).
- In Germany: the Karamel Kuche, it's a bakery with all kinds of homemade caramel stuff. Everything I've had is amazing.
- Via Napoli (sit down restaurant) in Italy - awesome pizza, but $$$. Big portions, good for splitting.
Hollywood Studios: all the food is bad!
Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ is the best counter service place to eat. Everything is pretty good, they smoke the meat there.

@Charm54: Tusker house was great at AK! And I just had Raglan Road a few weeks ago (although I didn't like my entree).

@T.H.O.U.: haven't done either of those at HS so can't comment...but character dining at Chef Mickey's (in the Contemporary hotel) is SO much fun - food isn't foodie quality but there's a wide variety. The atmosphere (and the sundar bar silly: is awesome). I can't wait to take DD there in March!

@MrsADS: Thanks! This helps too. We try to go about once every other year so splurging a bit for one sit down meal per day and then snacks or something small. Maybe on our HS day we will just pack PBJ.

MK: Liberty Tree
Epcot: Biergarten, Tangierine Cafe
Studios: Prime Time Cafe
plus Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge

@ms.line: oh I forgot about Prime Time! That's another one of my favourites. It's especially awesome if you get a good waiter.

@T.H.O.U. I haven't tried any of the sit down restaurants at Hollywood studios but I an sure they're good! The counter service food is just nothing special.
Also check out the Disney Food Blog!

Holy Cow - I just tried to maybe book an early 4pm dinner for DH and I to take DD (seeing if the grandparents would watch the little guy for nap or something). Prepayment in full is due and for 2 adults and 1 child is $195!

I love breakfast at Whispering Canyon in the Wilderness Lodge. We usually stay there just to have breakfast in the morning.
And I think the Sci-Fi Drive in restaurant at HS is fun!

We loved Sleepy Hollow at MK, they have delicious waffle sandwiches! Be Our Guest is fun too because of the great atmosphere/theme. Flame Tree BBQ and Tusker House (character breakfast) at AK, Prime Time Cafe at HS. California Grill at Contemporary is great for fine dining, and it has a beautiful view of MK.
@MrsADS: I second Disney Food Blog! The reviews are great and it has lots of helpful tips/tricks.

We went last Summer! We liked the Cuban place in Downtown Disney and all of the food we had at Epcot was good, especially the Mexican place. I didn't pay enough attention to the names, apparently! HAHA!

I really liked the food at the HoopDeeDoo Review, but I am really not sure it's a kid friendly place. We went when I was pregnant.
I also liked the character breakfast at Animal Kingdom/Tusker House.
I think the best restaurants are at Downtown Disney, though.

@T.H.O.U. for a really fun afternoon/evening, go visit Port Orleans French Quarter (hotel). You can take the boat from there to Downtown Disney, which is a beautiful and relaxing ride. Eat dinner/walk around at Downtown Disney, take the boat back. And make sure to get dessert at French Quarter - they have homemade beignets that they fry in front of you and OMG they are so good! You don't have to be staying at the hotel - we just tell the guard we want to walk around/eat there and they are glad to let you in.

We had the absolutely best Swedish/Norwegian meatballs I have ever had in my life at Askershus. The lingonberry* sauce is so uniquely divine. My fave for sure. Ask for a window table for castle like ambience!
Sci fi was fun but not tasty enough for the price tag. Columbia Harbor was pretty decent for the price range.
