Hi there,
Has anyone tried giving LO generic brand infant formula? If so, is there any difference other than the price? What are your thoughts on giving branded formulas ie: Similac, Enfamil, Gerber, etc. vs. generic brands ie: Target Up & Up, Kirkland?

We tried the Kirkland brand since it's supposed to be the generic of Similac, and DD threw it up every single time. 
I think it's because the Kirkland brand formula is very frothy, so it's kind of a weird texture.
I think most babies tolerate generic just fine, but you can always ask your pedi before trying just to be sure.

I never tried generic. We got SO many free samples in the mail and from the hospital. I ended up buying a can of Earth's best but only used about 1/2.
Will pick up some Baby's Only for baby #2 if I have to supplement during the first few weeks.

I never tried generic either because we also got tons of free samples from the ped. But I don't see why you couldn't use generic! I know plenty of moms who use Kirkland brand and they have no problems with it at all.
