We started giving M peanut butter this weekend and he seemed to like it and be fine. I'd like to try putting some on bread.
Anyone have any suggestions on bread that they know is dairy free? I'm not good at reading labels.

My daughter is mspi and I have been eating this brand called udi. If you have a Costco near you, they sell it there. It's not the best and its kind of hard.....but it works for sandwiches.

We get our MSPI bread from Whole Foods. I just use their bread from the bakery. I usually get sourdough (probably not great with peanut butter lol) but you can just ask them about the ingredients and they are always happy to look it up. I'm pretty sure the multi-grain is safe, and french bread too. There are probably other types as well.

@ladybee: when I was dairy free, I ate this bread, which I found at trader joes. I thought it was pretty good, especially toasted.

Im not a big fan if thr Rudi and Udi brands--expensive and very chewy instead of fluffy. But trader joe's has a good multigrain bread that is tasty and several brand of pita and tortilla breads are dairy and soy free.

Looks like I'll be heading to Trader Joe's today! It's about a 20 min drive but the same town has TJ and Earthfare so hopefully I can find some things for him. He's decided that at 11 months he is over bottles and formula and wants food.

Some of the Ezekiel bread (cinnamon raisin!) are dairy free.

@ladybee: I buy it at a local store called Dierbergs. Check the health food section in the freezer. Whole foods would have if. Trader joe sells one type. You can go to their website and they will list the places that sell it. My personal favorite is the nut and seed in the blue bag. Goes well with nut butters and breakfast

My niece is dairy-free and they get Nature's Own Honey Wheat Bread.

I've heard sourdough breads are often dairy free, but you'd need to check the label.
I always buy Xander's bread from the bakery section. I read the label, but I've never had an issue buying from the bakery section!

Most breads from the bakery section are dairy free. Just stay away from the bread aisle all together. Some dairy terms in packaged breads are hidden dairy, which I'm sure you've already found.

We get Dave's killer bread. It's expensive though!

@ladybee: we too love Dave's Killer Bread! We get it at our local grocery store but Costco has it too. We loved and ate it before all our MSPI troubles and were happy to find it was dairy/soy-free.

We love the sprouted wheat breads at both trader joes and whole foods. Double check the labels, but most of them are soy free and dairy free. And the only sweetener is either molasses or honey.
It's the only bread we buy
