I didn't know what to call this, but anyways, breastfeeding is becoming challenging as my LO gets older. She's 7.5 months old and gone are the days of peaceful, calm nursing sessions. Pretty much the whole time, she's either kicking me, punching me, pinching my face, ripping my hair out....you get it. I nurse in her room, dim light, I give her something else to play with like a burp cloth or I tried one of those nursing necklaces. She'd much rather slap me. Any other tips? Is this just a phase?

I don't know if it's a phase, but my toddler still likes to put her foot on my face while she's nursing.

The rough stuff was mostly a phase for us. She also loves to put her feet in my face still lol. She doesn't hurt me anymore though!

My DD was like this for months (and still is if she's in the right mood). Her favorite thing was to stick her finger up my nose or in my mouth...or sometimes up my nose and then in my mouth
I tried everything I could think of but in the end I just had to stick it out...so no real help here. Just sympathy.

DS is 9 months and loves to pull my hair, scratch at my neck, or stick his hand in my mouth. Haha. I hope it's a phase. DD was a much more calm nurser.

That is about the age when I couldn't nurse at night anymore, due to the crazy that was happening- the slapping, biting, etc. They were fine other times, but bed time sucked. I pumped and we did bottles instead.

I think it is the age. I'm not breastfeeding but lately my LO is even more distractible than usual when she gets a bottle. She is constantly looking around and playing with her feet and grabbing my hands and trying to grab my face and scratching me/the couch/etc. Babies are crazy man.

I'm right there with you. DA is 6.5mos and is so wiggly while nursing. He also snaps my bra straps, tries to rip my lips off my face, squeezes my boobs, bops himself on the head, pulls my hair... babies be crazy. Fortunately he is a little less wild first thing in the morning, at bed time, and motn when I nurse most. Other people feed him bottles of pumped milk during the day - I actually have no idea what he does while he eats a bottle.
