Do you do it?
I never thought I would be so comfortable with it. I will still never be comfortable with feeding without being fully covered up, but I can walk around Target while feeding and be okay with the awkward looks (:

I voted all the time, but it's not really ALL the time...but I have no issue NIP when we're out and LO needs to eat, although I try to time trips out with his naptime so he won't need to eat. I use a cover, and am also surprisingly not that shy about it!

Only when I have to, but that's just because DS is way too distracted to focus on eating while we are in public! It would be much easier if he would just relax and eat!

@hellocupcake: haha that's awesome! DS was always a wiggler, so I had to be seated and have a good grip on him to feed him, but if I could've done the carrier while nursing thing, I totally would have!

When she was younger, I would feed her wherever we were. If I was out in the open, under a cover. If I was in a quiet space (nursing room or changing room) no cover. Now that she is 10months, she is such a scatterbrain I can't keep her focused long enough to eat in public, but I will do it if I have to.

I do it in the car or at a family memebers home but never in a store or restaurant. Even with a nursing cover I feel a bit awkward, and also my baby used to unlatch randomly and milk would go spraying everywhere

For sure! He's being fed on demand and I can't sit at home 24/7
I either wear something that zips or a tank top & just pull the top down. I quit messing with a cover about a month ago. Too much hassle.
PS: you can walk & nurse? I'm super jealous!

I used to hate this and always tried to give a bottle instead but she hates bottles and one day when she was melting down in the mall I took the plunge and she lunged at the boob, bless her. A few days later I had to feed her in a hospital cafe with me crying my eyes out and boob out. Seeing how much she loved it and figuring we'd regularly be in doctors' waiting rooms where she'd want to nurse made me face facts and so I bought a cover and do it whenever, wherever.

I don't always do it, but if she needs to eat, she needs to eat. I will use a cover though just for my own comfort. I can throw it on and walk around and shop, and nurse, if need be.

Anywhere and any time. I usually nurse without a cover. Though its easier now to nurse him in the beco and I get to keep moving.

I do it if I need to but LO (fourteen weeks) has just started to become very interested in the outside world and likes to crane her neck rather than eat so that might be the end of that!

I have a few times, but I wasn't really comfortable with it, so I try to schedule outings in between feedings.

Hmmm....there needs to be a choice that says "sometimes". I will certainly do it and won't go really out of the way to avoid it, but I certainly don't do it "all the time". I am more comfortable doing it at home or somewhere kind of private, but I nursed at the airport, in a doctor's office lobby, in a store a handful of times... Not that often though.

Proud breastfeeder in public. I don't cover. My girl is 16 months old and I'm trying to cut back on the amount of nursing overall, but we still do it in public sometimes.

All the time! We are not the types to stay home because we have a baby. I have breastfed in malls, museums, airports, restaurants and even what I believe to have been a bar, haha. It's one small way of trying to respect our way of life instead of scheduling everything around our kids.
I always covered until this past Christmas when I visited my aunt's super hippie town and I figured if there's anyplace I could uncover my boob in public, that was the place! It was liberating! In Mexico I still cover in public, though.

I nurse in public all the time, with a cover, but I don't hide away or put myself in a discrete corner or anything. I was recently on an absolutely packed train in London and DD needed to eat. I didn't have a seat, so I started feeding her whilst leaning against a luggage rack (it was an overland train) and once DH found us a seat halfway down the packed train car, I walked up the aisle with my 6 month old attached to me, feeding. Not my ideal feeding situation, bouncing off the seats whilst trying to keep LO attached and not have the cover expose too much, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Generally though, I'm not fussed in the slightest about feeding in public.

I have on a few occasssions, but I'm more worried about other people's comfort then my own for some reason! Most of our malls have parent rooms with breastfeeding cubicles which I use whenever I'm there, otherwise I'll usually sit in the back of the car which has tinted windows.

How do babies feed in carriers? We have Bjorns and ring slings but I cannot picture how to get LO to nurse while wearing/walking...

I tend to time outings so that he won't have to nurse in public. When he was really little and I couldn't do that, I nursed him in the car or dressing rooms moreso because I hate making other people feel uncomfortable.
@PrincessBaby: it takes practice but it's doable!!!

I've done it a few times. I always thought I would use a cover for my own modesty, but after discovering how annoying the cover is, well I use it for the sake of other people - as in, I used it in a funeral home and when visiting someone in the hospital. And I covered when I was out with my mom cuz she wanted me to. Other than those times actually, I've only had to feed in a movie theatre and I don't use a cover. I do wear nursing bras and tops though so its not like I'm hanging out.

I wouldn't say all the time, but I do sometimes. If we're out and about and he needs to eat, then of course I'll feed him. I do try to time outings so I can avoid it. I've done it in dressing rooms, in the car, at restaurants. I use a cover, but I find it so annoying and I want to be more comfortable going with out it. I have nursed him while he was in the carrier while at Home Depot. That was interesting.

I do when I have to. I don't plan outings around nap times/feed times... But I also don't go out of my way to hide in a dressing room or the car or something when he gets hungry.
I don't use a cover, but I'm also always wearing at least 2 layers so I can pull one up and leave the othe one covering my midsection if that makes sense!
