What are your tips and tricks for building a freezer stash?
Particularly interested in hearing from those with a low supply or a LO that nursed round the clock.
Thanks!

Right now I'm just adding in one pumping session in the morning. I freeze about 3 oz from that so its s slow building stash but figure it should help.

Start pumping before supply regulates before the 3 or 4 month mark. I pumped once a day, right after the morning session because that's when milk supply was highest.

I pumped in the morning after the first feeding after 6 am. That's when my supply was at its best.

I pumped and still do right after the first feed. I typically get about 5 ounces now during that pump. I never ever skip it. Good luck!

From about 6 weeks on I pumped in the morning around 6am after her early morning feed. I had the most milk then and she on,y fed one side so I pumped the other. I'd just pump 4-5oz but after a few months I had a great freezer stash.

Same as some PP, I pumped after the first morning session. Whenever I had extra time (haha with a newborn), I'd add a pump session even if it was only 10minutes.

It's funny though because I always feel the most drained in the morning, supply wise? Hope to pick up my pump this weekend so will start ASAP!
We've been giving A about one bottle a day and my miniscule stash is depleting quick!

I think we discussed this before...I had a super, super low supply first child. Like as in I would only pump maybe 3-5 oz a day. I would wake up in middle of night to pump to try and get enough for the next day! I think back to that and OMG.
My supply has been so good withy second child. She hasn't had a drop of anything other than breastmilk and is 8 months old. I think it had to do with getting more rest, drinking a TON more water, taking in more calories, cosleeping and pumping from the day I got home to keep up my supply. I did everything different with my second child. It has helped big time! I prob have 100 oz in my freezer right now.

@matador84: thanks for sharing!! I feel very good about my supply this time around. If only I can get my mom to shut up! She's the type that thinks the baby is hungry every time they cry. And so it's very hard to ignore her "she's crying, she's hungry, give formula!!". She has no concept of how milk production works. She's adding to my stress!!!
Anyway, I'm fine with giving her top off but I want it to be BM because I feel confident about my supply. Last time I didn't and gladly supplemented with formula.
