Can you burp a baby while they are laying on their side or do u have to sit them up to get an effective burp ? LO always falls asleep on his side on the boppy after nursing and I hate picking him up to burp. Can I just pat his back while he is laying on his side ??

I don't know if you are supposed to but I burp DS this way all the time when he falls asleep on his side on the boppy.

if lo falls asleep on the boppy and I need to transfer to back sleeping in his crib, i'll turn him on his belly on the boppy which is awesome for burping because hes inclined. Burps in like 10 seconds!
