I had a c section 4+ months ago, and just today started to notice the scar site is a bit tender - feels a little like a bruise? Normal? I went to the doc a few weeks ago and she said it looked fine, and my recovery has been super easy! Just wondering if anyone experienced anything like this and what you did!

I was literally about to start this same exact thread just now! I am 6 months pp & I have noticed it feeling sore, more like a pinched pain though, like too tight underwear, over the last month. It's been months since I've really noticed the scar but now I feel some kind of twinge & pain every day.
I was thinking that LO is heavier now & when I hold her on my lap to nurse it's straining that area?

Mine has been tender lately too. 3 month pp here.

I'm almost 2 years pp and it's still tender at times, randomly.

Usually if it's scar tissue they say the best thing you can do is deep massage so try to get the nerves going back.

@daniellemybelle: beat you to it! Ha. Yea I was actually wondering if my daughter might have been hitting it more. I know it used to hurt when she was a newborn and flailed her legs, but I could keep her off it because she was tiny.

I'm 16 months pp and still feel weird twinges there...sometimes it feels numb or just...odd too!

Mine didn't start to feel like semi-normal skin until about 2 years PP. Now I can touch it without it feeling sensitive but for a long time it was a sensitive area

2 years out and still tender sometimes but I had adhesions and used to massage them out... probably should keep doing that!

14 months pp and still tender.

I am 11 months pp and still feel tender there. It's a strange, numb sensation.

Mine felt weird/numb for at least a year. but it eventually gets better and the scar fades a lot too.

8 months pp and still can feel sore, uncomfortable or tingly at times

I've had two csections, the latest almost 21 months ago, and I have no discomfort whatsoever. It gets better, ladies.

@pirouette - my scar doesn't hurt all the time, but it does get itchy sometimes and is tender sometimes. My scar is still raised and hard, even though I've done a lot of massage on it
Everyone heals differently though, so hopefully yours will disappear eventually!
