If you had a c-section, did you have to supplement? How long did you supplement for? How much did you supplement?
We are trying to cut back on the supplementing but LO is inconsolable without it at this point.

I said yes, but it was around 8 weeks. Then, my milk changed and became all that she needs. I'm able to pump her 15 oz for daycare and an extra bottle, plus nurse morning and night time. I wouldn't stress about supplementing because the most important thing is for you to not stress and for baby to be full. Lots have had to supplement and then go on to not need it anymore. Hang in there! Hugs!!!

My milk came in late (9 & 6 days PP) and I supplemented both times. No regrets and we stopped supplementing at 3 and 1.5 weeks. I was pumping, nursing, drinking water, eating oatmeal, taking herbal supplements, Asian soups...just nothing. I was really reluctant to use formula the first time but I finally budged when LO was almost readmitted at her first ped check up. She had 3 more weight checkups that same week.
I always offered 2 ounces at a time and she only finished the entire bottle once or twice.

Yes, supplemented for about he first 5 or 6 weeks. We're at 12 weeks now and while not supplementing anymore, going in for a weight check to make sure she's still gaining enough from BM alone.

Only for a few days. She would nurse for 2 hours straight in he hospital and still cry and I was going crazy. Finally a nurse suggested supplementing so we did. But we only had to for a week or so.

We supplemented when we found out she lost too much weight at her first ped appointment. I think she was 5 or 6 days old. My milk came in about a day later and we supplemented with formula for a day and then were able to supplement with pumped milk for a few days after that (we did syringe feeding bc bottles were making her forget how to latch and nurse)...after that she was able to get enough from just nursing and her weight was back up
