Actually my experience was that neither re I saw cared about charts. They wanted their own labs and ultrasounds done and were only going to work based on that. I think it's good to have a basic understanding of your cycle (is it long, do you have a short luteal phase, etc) to point them in the right direction but beyond that I wouldn't worry.

I'm curious if others had different experiences though!

My OB who specialized in infertility didn't care about charting pre-diagnosis, but then after diagnosis, he wanted my charts while I was doing interventions, to see how my body responded.

My RE didn't care about seeing my chart specifically, just wanted to know average cycle length and when I typically ovulated. I also stopped charting completely once I was in the hands of my RE since they were controlling my cycles anyway.

@Umbreon: I'm sorry The year we spent TTC felt like the longest by far of my life, and I know for many people it's much longer than a year. It absolutely sucks that they made you wait so long for an appointment. I'll be thinking of you and hoping that you get in really soon.

Echoing what others have said, I saw two RE's and neither cared about my charts. I had planned to quit temping but my acupuncturist urged me to continue. We worked it out that I got to take a break for a couple weeks for my sanity and then I resumed again.
