Our sweet girl, Charlotte Mae, was born on September 2 at 9:16am via repeat c-section. She was 7lbs15oz and 19.5"!

I had contractions lead up to, and during the morning of, my section. I was a nervous wreck this time. I think it's because I knew exactly what they'd be doing, whereas the first time I was blissfully unaware of the entire surgical process.

The team during my delivery was even more awesome than the last (and I had an incredible c-section experience three years ago), and at 9:16am our Charlie was born screaming. The girl had a major set of lungs!

Our hospital is pro-kangaroo care and pro-breast feeding so I was able to hold Charlie in the OR (awkwardly, but I did!) and we were nursing in the recovery room.

Chloe thinks little sis is "soooo cute" and wants to "keep her foreverly". We took a video of the girls meeting and my husband had tears in his eyes when Chloe met little sis. I mostly just cried happy tears all day!

Recovery has been easier than last time- possibly because I knew what to expect and have been pushing through the pain, whereas last time I was hesitant and nervous! We get to go home on Friday.
