So my question is:
Do you feel like being on some kind of chemical/hormonal birth control caused issues becoming pregnant?
I know that lots of people get pregnant fairly quick after coming off of BC. And some of my "hang up" is probably that my mom always told us girls that adding hormones to your body is going to cause issues getting pregnant. But the fact that I had never been on BC before I had my son, only used NFP method/pull & pray; then had Nexplanon put in at my 6 week check amkes me wonder. I had it in for a year almost exactly, before TTC #2.
Or is this just looking for a reason for why I'm not pregnant yet, and want something tangible to blame?
We tried (with opks and careful timing) for a little under a year, certainly not super long but also not great. I was on birth control for a decade previously, but I kind of doubt this contributed. My cycle went right back to clockwork as soon as I came off and I had no diagnosable issues. Probably just less than great eggs, and it was a matter of playing a numbers game until we got lucky with one of the remaining good ones.
